u got these shoes which I'll never wear and a dress by Mysteree that I can't find online - it's ivory lace with cut outs all around the waist...maybe if it was solid but seriously the cutouts?!? Totally not me

Ivory lace cut outs?! Pictures!  This sounds lovely! (it's funny how fashion is different for each of us, no?)

I received this cute Steve Madden coat.  Not something I would have picked out for myself & yet it's an absolute keeper.

And I received this cute Minuet dress.  I don't see myself wearing this this out & about, but still cute.

AH, I love both of those so much!

I'm so excited for my last two things to get here this weekend (hopefully sooner!).

Well, here are the ones I'm keeping. The first dress is an Eva Franco that retailed for $250 (!) so I'm pretty pleased.

Now for the two that are the wrong size. The green one is tea-length and a US size 6, which I'm assuming they accidentally sent me because it's a UK10. The pink is a small so I have no clue how that ended up in my size large order. I can't find either of them on ModCloth, but if anyone's willing to try, the brands are Ruby Belle and Ina.

Items I received but haven't taken pictures of yet: a mauve/pink/navy colorblocked sundress that I think I've seen other people get, a really weird-looking patterned sweater, and a white tweed Chanel-esque blazer that's a little too 80s for me.

Good point! Here is the dress. I haven't had any luck finding it online.

I'm sorry, this is mostly irrelevant, but I am completely in love with the fact that you took the time to label the "awkward empty space"

That's interesting!  I feel like it has a lot of potential.  You could belt it?  Or maybe even dye it a darker color?  I do that with some of my stuff that's been stained weirdly- just dye it black.  But with this you could dye it any color!  Possibly? Maybe?

Ehhh, for me personally the cutouts around the mid-section are a total deal breaker. Ignoring the fact I'm way too old for that look, I have a shorter torso/longer legs and so it would hit me at a weird spot :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I'm so bummed because I saw so many things I would've lived or been able to work with and I ended up with two awful for me items.

Would sewing a strip of contrasting fabric under the cutouts be too much hassle for you? It could look super cute with a bright colour peeking out through the holes, and make it more wearable.

Ahh gotcha.  Sorry that you didn't get something that could work for you!  Maybe you can score an awesome trade :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

When did you order yours? I'm in Toronto and ordered on the 21st and my stuff was shipped out on the 24th. Can't stand the wait!

I ordered on the 26th and was shipped on the 28th. I just ordered one item, maybe that's why?

I'm in Montreal, I ordered on the same day as you and got mine yesterday. So yours should probably be arriving shortly :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I LOVE that green dress! I remember seeing it on ModCloth's website (in the sale section) around Christmastime. I considered buying it but didn't want to spend the money.

I can't seem to find the original listing from ModCloth either.

I mentioned how a few pages back, but I'll copy & paste again so you (& others) can search. It can be challenging sometimes. Usually all I do is a simple google search with the designer name, type of clothing item, and maybe a brief description of the item. So for one of my stylish surprises I searched for an online image/price and Modcloth listing by typing "Plenty by Tracy Reese pink and black floral dress Modcloth" and hit search. To get even better results with visuals, go to google images. When/if you see the item that matches your description click on the image and on the right should be links from the original hosting site. When you click on those links you may get more information about the item, like pricing if it was from an online store. Hope this helps! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Share if you find them!!
Thank you! Someone else posted a link to one item, so that was easy: http://www.modcloth.com/shop/cardigans/gifts-your-spirits-cardigan I used your tips to find the other: http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/lush-with-loveliness-dress I'm hoping to swap the sweater, but I like the dress!

a little too big in my bust, but long enough to be work-appropriate, so I'm a very happy camper.
the dress is so cute!!! i'm obsessed with vintage glasses.
