I'm new to Stylish Surprise and wondering if there are any tips/tricks to searching for items on the ModCloth website after receiving them. So far searching by the brand name hasn't worked. Advice?

Ok. So my second and final package arrived today... In my first post here I mentioned how I've always received dresses with these ModCloth deals. I had only gotten a coat and sweater once. Well, I guess I spoke too soon! lol In my package today of two Small surprise items I got: 1.) Paddington Flare Coat It's from "hard-to-find" German brand Blutsgeschwister . Worth at least $150-200 compared to other listings, it's not available in the US aside from ModCloth apparently. http://www.modcloth.com/shop/coats/paddington-flare-coat?utm_source=pinterest&utm_medium=share&utm_campaign=quicklook_share This. coat. I mean this coat is so well made! It's such a great addition to my spring wardrobe. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> It's a mustard-y yellow with a cute floral lining. And the way it flares out like a dress is everything! I'll get a lot of wears out of it. It fits just right. I was worried about it being tight in the bust like my other "S" surprises.  2. Join the Jamboree Sweater http://www.modcloth.com/shop/pullovers-sweaters/join-the-jamboree-sweater The sweater is not my tastes! It's a "ModCloth exclusive"  by brand Wow Couture. It's maybe worth $30-40? I couldn't find a price. Surprisingly, over 1,200 people on the site loved it, but not me.  It does fit well, it's very thick/warm, and it's comfortable. But I've never been a real fan of that South Western/Tribal print. I could see how it may be styled with a cute pair of dark wash jeans and a pair of nude/tan suede heels or boots. It's just not for me...so I gave it to my mother who loved it immediately. We have pretty different tastes. I gravitate to more feminine/cutesy/50s-60s vintage style pieces.  All in all, I think I did very well. I got 2 designer dresses, 1 European-imported coat, 1 sweater and a pair of camel colored booties for $50. Everything originally priced was well worth 2, maybe 3 times that.  :icon_lol:  

I love that the coat is named after paddington bear!

Came home to my last Stylish Surprise late last night!! I like both dresses MUCH better than my first one! The blue one is a bit too small, but I just started working out again after an 8 month hiatus so I think by summer it will fit just fine! Both are size small.

The back has a cute heart cut out!

I LOVE this blue one so I really hope I can make it work!!

I love them both!  Ah! I was so scared for some reason when I saw that two items weighed 4lbs.  The dress is a little long for a short person, so I'm going to alter it a bit so it is above my knees, but it's totally worth it for this beautiful, well made dress.   /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  I've got 3 apartment stylish surprises and two more apparel ones on the way!

But I'm still so thrilled with my items. I could have never afforded them otherwise. I mentioned how a few pages back, but I'll copy & paste again so you (& others) can search. It can be challenging sometimes. Usually all I do is a simple google search with the designer name, type of clothing item, and maybe a brief description of the item. So for one of my stylish surprises I searched for an online image/price and Modcloth listing by typing "Plenty by Tracy Reese pink and black floral dress Modcloth" and hit search. To get even better results with visuals, go to google images. When/if you see the item that matches your description click on the image and on the right should be links from the original hosting site. When you click on those links you may get more information about the item, like pricing if it was from an online store. Welp, my package went from no show on Saturday, to missing, to "will be delivered on Tuesday". I waited this long, so what's another 2 more days? Just bummed it's taking this long and I'm hoping the items I get will be worth the wait. I do love the dresses ya'll are getting and hope to get a really nice one for graduation! Bummer that the mail doesn't come in on Sundays but what're we gonna do?

I got my shipping email for My second order of 3 on Saturday but the tracking wasn't actually initaited until today, and it doesn't have an estimated delivery yet. I swear I can be patient about this. Really I can. 0.o

That coat is so so beautiful. I haven't worn it out yet. It's very bright and cheery. So far it's just handing lovingly on my closet door in my room, screaming to be worn. lol

I've actually been wearing the coat I got in my SS this past fall. I got a light-weight black jacket trimmed in blue on the collar and blue heart patches on the elbow. 

My package with the yellow coat and sweater weighed 4.1 lbs! Hopefully you'll score a coat too!! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I received my 2nd package of 2 size small apparel SS items today and I'm pleased with what I got. I was hoping for a dress and a coat. And I got a coat and a sweater.

The coat is the Jack by BB Dakota Writer's Block Party Coat in burgundy. I've seen some other people receive this and love it! Fits me perfect, so I'm happy!





The sweater I received I haven't seen yet, but it's a mustard sweater by Urban Day. It's like wrapping yourself in a blanket, but this sweater really overwhelms my very small frame, so I'll be looking to trade this. Nice, but not for me. I tried to google search for it, but couldn't find anything about it. It is very large in the body of the sweater and hits at my waist. The sleeves are long and hit at my wrist.





I think it was definitely worth it, just for the coat I got. So, it wasn't a loss for me. Plus the coat matches the BAIT burgundy heels I received in my 1st SS package. Yay! I can't wait until fall to wear them!!!
