ModCloth Stylish Surprise Grab Bags

Silly question - are they breaking up any of the orders for shipping? I ordered one XL and two 1X grab bags, but my father just called me and told me the mail arrived and it only had two items in it.

He sent me photos though, and I got a freaking gorgeous tweed Stop Staring! dress! I can't tell exactly which one it is, but maaaaan, I hope it fits. Fingers crossed!

The other item is a blue Piko 1988 tunic, which is kinda boring but cute enough, and I ordered a 1X for  my aunt so she's getting that one. No way she's getting my dress. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I can't wait to get home and try the dress on, and figure out exactly which items I got.

edit: Poking around, I'm pretty sure it's the Pine All Mine dress in Autumn I AM SO EXCITED YOU GUYS.

The coat is the Jack by BB Dakota Writer's Block Party Coat in burgundy. I've seen some other people receive this and love it! Fits me perfect, so I'm happy!





The sweater I received I haven't seen yet, but it's a mustard sweater by Urban Day. It's like wrapping yourself in a blanket, but this sweater really overwhelms my very small frame, so I'll be looking to trade this. Nice, but not for me. I tried to google search for it, but couldn't find anything about it. It is very large in the body of the sweater and hits at my waist. The sleeves are long and hit at my wrist.





I think it was definitely worth it, just for the coat I got. So, it wasn't a loss for me. Plus the coat matches the BAIT burgundy heels I received in my 1st SS package. Yay! I can't wait until fall to wear them!!!
Yay! I'm glad you got a coat like you wanted. I LOVE that shade and the bow details. It's so cute! I have a Jack by BB Dakota floral dress that I got in one of my last SS and it fits well and the quality is great. Update: I called their customer service number and they confirmed that the package should have had three items in it. Unfortunately, since there are no more grab bags left they can't send me a replacement ;_;

But they are refunding my money, and I got a 20% coupon for my next purchase, so I guess that's okay. And I'm still stupidly excited about my dress and can't wait to go home and try it on.

I'm so jealous of everything you guys got! I definitely got the loser box. I got 2 small apparels surprises. I was hoping for two dresses, got them, but they are just not as cute as other people's. I didn't even both trying on the first one. It is a white tulle prom dress that has jewels on it. Just got mine-I think it's mostly cute, but none of it will work on me sadly :-(

Louche dress, size 12. Seems to be nice quality-fully lined, fabric feels nice. Just a bit shinier than I need for anything (I'm a SAHM.... ) Here's a closer view of the fabric

Ugh, did anyone else get sent items in the wrong size? I ordered larges, got a small in one box and a UK 10 (which is a US 6) in the other /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> It really sucks because they're probably the two cutest dresses I got.

Oh god I feel so bad for gloating but holy crap you guys I am so hopelessly in love with my dress. I don't even care that they forgot to send my third item.



I'm wearing a crinoline under it for volume, but it looks lovely without it too. And, the most incredible part, I AM NOT WEARING A BRA. This is like... epic, you guys. I wear a 36K bra (no that wasn't a typo they are the size of my head) and this dress is so well-structured it's incredibly comfortable and supportive without needing anything underneath.

I had a 6.5 pair of shoes in a 7 box. Also super bummed because I really liked them. Contact them, they have great customer service and I would not be surprised if they refunded you. Would you be willing to post what you can't wear in the trade thread? Maybe you can sell/swap it there?

This is my first time ordering from ModCloth and the Stylish Surprise.  I haven't tried anything on but they all look a tad big.  I received these 3 dresses:

My stylish surprise arrived today, which was a pretty speedy delivery as I live in Canada, and I didn't even get stuck paying duty this time which was a lovely bonus.   This was my first time ordering the Stylish surprise, so it was quite exciting getting the box and trying on my orders.  I got 5 SS apparel in xs(all were dresses),  one in s (coat), and two pairs of 8.5 shoes (flats and wedge heels).  

 

Overall, I'm pretty happy with my haul, even if some of the things aren't items I would ordinarily buy and am still trying to find ways to make them work for me.   But it's been a ton of fun seeing what everyone's gotten and unpacking the box, and just counting the items I really like, I think it was worth it, so I definitely will do it again next time.

I cannot find the piko 1988 tunic I got anywhere. It's neater than it looked in the photos my dad texted, kind of asymmetrical in a nice Prussian blue soft knit.

Modcloth is pretty good about refunding in those situations.  Pics please?  Inquiring minds want to know

Those shoes are adorable, IMO! I'm sure if you put them up for trade someone would be very happy to swap for them.
