Lady Grey- You are doing so good. I would use that coupon too.

Loops- Thats the longest I've seen you go. Woo hoo!

I'm bidding on ebay today so its back to day 1 tomorrow. Beauty Army screwed up my order & I'm not getting something I really wanted. Hoping to snag it cheap.

I narrowed down 8 subs to 4.

How is everyone holding up? It's been about a week since I last purchased something. I want to put that Dermstore coupon to use, but I'm going to wait until the very last minute. Hopefully I'll be able to clear out more of my stash before then!

Uhm....Day One (again). Ross had a set of the bright Color Club nail polishes in and I knew my BB was gonna have the Classic shade instead...oops.

However, this was something that HAD been on my list for a while, so I'm not tripping. I actually managed to ONLY buy stuff that was on my list....except for a Betsey crossbody for $13. But, really, when would a $13 Betsey crossbody ever NOT be on the list?

instead of makeup i've been buying clothes, shoes, and makeup tools. im not really saving any money... AT ALL! And hautelook has some cute stuff today.... #firstworldissues

I knew better than to try to include fashion stuffs in a no buy.

I really like the Kerastase Elixir that was in the TV BB this month. I don't use hot tools on my hair, but the elixir made my hair really soft.

I've been on a clothing no-buy since forever. I only wear like 1/12 of the stuff in my closet. Until that changes, I'm no longer allowed to buy any clothes. I did break this though at Ross a couple weeks ago, got a cute shirt for $8 and some panties.. though I don't count underwear because you can never have too many pairs of those! Oh, and I bought some hiking clothes at REI but I actually use those and needed a long sleeved button-up.

Same. I need to go get work clothes for Spring, this is my first spring out of school and in the professional world SO I think I have a good excuse to buy 4-5 nice outfits. :p

it's not included in mine either. I've been doing pretty good with my no-buy, but i've been kinda perturbed with all my purchasing lately. it's momentary gratification... then back to reality

Yaaay for everybody! One day at a time, one day at a time...that's what I keep telling myself, anyway. I feel like everyone's doing really well, even if we do have some slip ups here and there. Especially since when we first started, we were finding every possible loophole, haha.

Oh, definitely. I think I like buying crap just for the sake of buying it. I move on from one obsession to another. It's actually been makeup for about half a year now, so if I can get in the habit of not buying stuff that I don't need, I'll be golden.

Yeah, it's the psychology BEHIND my spending that is interesting to me, as well.

I had around 15 fragrance (10 of them are dupes, in roller balls), I still feel like I want more. Good thing fragrances are expensive and last forever, that stops me from buying more. Goodbye Gucci Flora, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh, Kenzo Flower, Dior Miss Cherie, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle!

......sigh, but I still want them. Wish I have that damn money.

SO I've officially canceled nearly all of my subs. Today I canceled blissmobox ( I still haven't received my Feb box...), beautybox5, the look bag, my second birchbox, and my second beauty army.

That leaves me with sample society, beauty army, and my annual birchbox. I will probably cancel beauty army before April, which brings my total down from nearly 100/month to a very reasonable 15 dollars/month on subs, since my bb is annual. Feeling pretty good! I haven't canceled Julep, but I have no problem with just skipping.

Woot! Good job!

Here's the breakdown on my subs:

CURRENT

Birchbox

Sindulge

Stylemint (I skip every month)

CANCELLED

MyGlam

The Look Bag

BB5

Sample Society

Birchbox 2

Blissmobox

Today's "no buy support task" for me will be to set up a filter for all the beauty-related emails I get, so that I won't see the sales right now :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Today, as tempted as I was to buy the buried bauble because I love owl stuff (I have a huge owl tattoo), I didn't. I also didn't buy any of the reminder emails I got from Mod Cloth, dermstore, etc. That filter idea is great! I should try that out.

Ugh I know march is half over, but I am jumping on board with the no-buy thing after purchasing an embarrassing number of nail polishes in the past week, plus several eyeshadow palettes and my beautyfix box. Shameful. At least I canceled myglam, which I will certainly not miss.

Hey, some of us who jumped on in the beginning are re-starting, so welcome aboard! I'm on Day 2 right now. LOL
