That press release sounds great because it was written by a public relations professional for Brazilian Blowouts. It's totally biased guys. Bottom line is that they still use toxic chemicals to straighten your hair. They're so toxic that fans are required to keep the formaldehyde out of your face and stylists cannot do more than four in one day. "Brazilian Blowouts" have even been outlawed in Brazil.

There has got to be another way ladies. Everything that goes onto your skin, in this case your scalp, you actually ingest. Think twice.

Go to the Brazilian Blowouts website, they have a statement from OSHA stating that the product is indeed safe. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I just got another Brazilian Blowout today and love it even more than the first time! <3

Another Brazilian Blowout? How many have you had?

I was listening to Paula Begoun's internet podcast, earlier this week,

They were saying that the Brazilian Blowout doesn't last very long, considering how much they cost.

As well, they might look great at first, but the hair gets quite damaged.

Also, what were the working conditions of the stylists? Well vented areas, fans blowing, windows or doors opened?

These are all giveaways that formaldehyde or similar is being used - or formaldehyde or similar will result from the heat applied.

The staff is trying to get least amount of exposure as possible.

Ive had two. My first on Aug 28th and another one yesterday. My hair gets healthier not more damaged. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> They last about 11 weeks and my stylist doesn't have any open doors or fans.

Hey, I'm really liking your hair!

Here is a 'before' (excuse the big ole tummy):

Here is 2 days after I got the BB, and after I let it air dry.

And I've had it now for roughly 9 weeks and it is starting to slowly wear off. Here is a pic from about a week ago of it air dried:
