I've been looking online at wigs, I want to try something different with my hair. I got it cut so it's in that stage where you can't really do any thing with it.. Anyways, I have a few concerns, I don't know whether or not they will look horrible (ie where you can tell they are fake). Anyone have any tips or suggestions as to what I should buy?

What kind of wig? Human hair or synthetic? If synthetic are you look for Kanekalon or Toyokalon? Do you want a full wig or pieces? Open to clip-in extensions or bonded extensions? Are you looking for something fun and funky or something that looks normal? To be honest there are sooooo many types of wigs out there.

My suggestion is to try clip on pieces. The price is less expensive than a full wig and you can change it up. I'm very familiar with Doctored Locks since they're located in Spokane, WA and I've been to their shop (extension heaven). They sell very good quality extension at a low price.

OMG! I have also considered wigs since Im such a chicken when it comes to my hair.

I want it to look good and as natural as possible - but also, I dont want to spend an arm a leg.  Some of the wigs I have seen online are up to $200!!!  I cant do that... maybe in the $50 range... I dont know. Party City maybe? LOL!

Do you have any suggestions?

The ones I've gotten are always from the mall and around $30-$50. I also have some from http://www.cosplay.com . I think they are a lot of fun! The ones from the mall look really good on. So do the CosPlay ones but they are bright colors lol

The Jessica Simpon Hairdo line has some really cute wigs and they aren't outrageously expensive. You can find hairdo stuff at Ulta, qvc, hsn and ebay. I bought the clip-in bangs on sale at Ulta and they look very natural and blend in really well with my hair.

Eeek! I've been to that site before, but never for purchases... and never noticed the "wig" section.  I may just end up with a burgundy D.Boy L wig!!  Awesome!!! Thank you!

Unfortunatly - they closest mall that has wigs is over 45 minutes away.  I could always go into the city - but that would require a day trip of wig shopping and Im not up for that right now.

Thanks ladies.

Good site to go,i also use it.lol

I say if you are going to do it, wear a lace front wig. Go for something synthetic and inexpensive until you get the hang of wearing them. I have made tons of videos and tutorials on wearing them and caring for them. Here is my Youtube channel if you care to find out more about wigs.
