Thats pretty much the same thing I did. What did TPR holding send?  Thanks for posting this list. I know its alot of work.

I am going to look for some other companies (other than what is on this thread) to see who I would like to try and see if I have any luck!
You are very welcome. They have yet to send me anything, they just said they would. I've only been doing this a week. I figure samples that aren't going to work for me are going into a stash for trading. I'm going to take photos and blog about first impressions for most samples though.

Thank you!  I can post the companies who have told me No or Never Responded. I will say that I have sent emails since about the beginning of May. I still receive envelopes every week. So some take a while to send,

No:

Jonathon, Manna Kadar, Suki, Miss Jessies, John Frieda,Tory Burch, Coty, John Masters haircare, diptyque. Baudelaire. Beach Organics, Bath Petals, Hawaiian Bath and Body, Mario Badescu, Besame (kind of rude about it, too).

"Yes" was from all the same companies already posted.

For Coty, do they do a bunch of different brands of perfume? Request 1 or 2 specific fragrances. They'll usually send them.

For Mario Badescu, fill out the quiz on their website. If you don't get an e-mail asking if you want samples within 5 days, do it again.

Thanks!

Hermes is sending me some perfume samples. Also Jane Iridale cosmetics is sending me some lip products to try after they sent me foundation that I adore. I'm definitely purchasing that powder foundation as it is pretty amazing!

So, I just want to share my awesome experience with Aveda. I went in yesterday to get a free travel size foot lotion from their promotion and was offered a hand and neck massage as well as some freshly brewed tea. After the massage they gave me their Invati Hair Care sampler and offered to let me book a free facial so I jumped on that, of course. I come in, get a full hour session with skincare and a makeover, and then they send me home with a complimentary travel size product that comes with the facial. My consultant wrote down the products and makeup she used in my facial, but she never got pushy even once. She just handed me free stuff with a smile and sent me on my way.

It's so refreshing to get great customer service and perks like that without getting the traditional pushy sales approach. It certainly worked on me, I will be going back to buy a full size of their Be Curly Style-Prep. It's so incredible! Wish more stores I went to felt like they wanted me to fall in love with and trust their brand instead of just trying to push products on me that I'm not sure I'll like. What a great experience!

Anyway, got so many travel sized freebies from my visit that I feel like they're noteworthy enough to mention in this thread. In store seems to be your best bet. They'll usually offer for free what they would include as a gift for something ordered online. Great deal!

Awesome! I got fantastic customer service and wrote about it in my blog from Jane Iredale, although my experience was online. It totally makes a brand for me! I will definitely be buying from a company that can take good care of me. I'm very interested in brands like that. I should look into my nearest Aveeda boutique, although I know not all boutiques are the same. Thanks for the mention!

@ Right? For example, I love Origins products, but the consultants at the one in my Macy's give TERRIBLE customer service. Like, when I went in with a coupon from a facebook promotion for a deluxe sample and the consultant I talked to refused to give me anything but a tiny sample jar. I had the coupon for it right in my hand! Ugh. Haven't been back since.

On the other hand, with Aveda, I went in just wanting the sample and came out so happy with the service that I wanted to buy something. Kind of like wanting to thank them? Lol.

I know what you mean. That's exactly what I think. Good service helps a product a lot, that may be how LUSH got so famous.

I got 9 more packages in the mail today and a lot of samples. <3 Also got more yes'es from other companies! Im going to contact some perfume companies, as well as some higher end companies today. <3 (Because I got a yes from Becca and Ellis Faas) <3

Super excited, I also packaged and separated my samples today into categories

Your list is awesome! What did you ask Ellis Faas for? Seriously my FAVE mascara!

Didn't ask for a sample of the mascara. I didn't realize they did them.

I asked for foundation, 2 lipsticks in a blood red and a coraly pink shade, and the liquid lights eyeshadow in a violet shade. I may ask for a sample of the mascara later on if I really like the products. I got a second package from Jane Iredale with lipsticks after I said I really liked them and would like to try more.

I should update my list of people who have said yes later tonight, also I have a lot more products that have been sent. Isn't it funny to think that last Tuesday I just started? I got the Joie perfume sample and it is Fabulous! Does anyone else know companies to contact for perfume samples? I'd like to stock up on those!

What did you say to Erno Laszlo? I heard some people got no's so I didn't even try.

Yup! A lot of people got 'no's' on the companies I spoke to actually.

I want to work in retail and marketing though so I think I have a bit of an edge when I write my letters! ^.^"

Although that being said I've also gotten plenty of no's! In fact, Viktor and Rolf was one of them!

But I have 31 boxes coming my way and I still have companies to contact.

What you want to do is take the online Erno Lazlo test first, then say which one you got (Oily, slightly oily, Dry, ect.) Mention they don't sell near you (unless they do) and ask for a few samples. Which has worked for me. That being said if a ton of people start doing that, they may tighten their belts and say no.

Anyway, more companies I'm getting stuff from!

Becca

Thanks for the tip! Once more question how long did 8 take for koh gen doh to send your package to you?

I don't know if EverydayMinerals has been mentioned, but a section on their site allows you to pick five samples and then they give you two more of their choosing! It's totally free, you just have to pay for shipping- international shipping is only 3 bucks! I can't wait for my sample pack to come in the mail.

It was less than a week. 5-6 days? Not completely positive. I got them today.

Does anyone know any makeup companies that sends samples other than Gear Studios and Jane Iredale?
Becca, and Ellis Faas, Color Science has foundation samples they send out, Bare Minerals has their liquid foundation they are sending me. Beauty Society may have makeup as well but not positive on that one.

I'm so in love with the products I got from Clinique. She gave me so much more than expected; 3 chubby sticks for lips, 3 chubbys for eyes, turnover mask, a base and the newest cc cream *-*
