IsaDora.  Lipglosses and lipsticks, full size and I loved them.
Wow! How did you word that letter!? I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to lipgloss/lipstick colors and always want samples first.

I fell in love with the body scrub from Red Flower, but it's SO expensive!!! :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I want to order some candles though.
Yeah there prices are kind of high. I am for sure going to purchase from them but probably not as much stuff as I would like. I'm really excited to get my stuff!

I second this. What did you say? Full size?! Very nice!

Emailed Evologie, Oscar Blandi, Jane Iredale, and Dermorganics and all have replied that they are sending me free samples. I have already received my Oscar Blandi sample pack (that is pictured) and my Jane Iredale sample "kit" is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

I emailed Michael Todd because the product I want to try isn't included in the samples they sell on their website. I got a "no," but I thought the way they worded it was funny....here's an excerpt from the response I got:

"I am sure you will find a product that works wonders for your skin in our line of natural, organic and effective skin care products. I understand that you may want to try our products before investing in them, which is why you are interested in sampling. I can offer you something even better!

You can try our products for 1 month by placing any order of your choice, and if for any reason they do not work for you, you may return them for a refund less a $10 outbound shipping and restocking fee."

So apparently purchasing something full-price and not even having a real money-back guarantee is "something better" than getting samples!! LOL. Ridiculous.

Received both my Jane Iredale and DermOrganic sample packs today as well. The personal shopper that I had for Jane Iredale was very thorough and sent me 8 samples of foundation. Three of them were actually the same colors but in both pure pressed and their amazing base foundation. I also received a sample of the smooth affair primer and some BB cream as well. For my DermOrganic sample pack I received both the skin-care and hair-care samplers. The skin-care sampler came with the soap less cleanser, facial moisturizer, and moisture lotion. The hair-care sampler consisted of the conditioning shampoo, hair repair masque, and the leave-in treatment. I also received a 20% off coupon for any online purchase on their website. I am definitely pleased with my results of asking these companies and I am excited to try everything out.

Those of you who have received samples from VMV - did they send them to you without responding? I emailed them almost a month ago and they've just now viewed the email I sent based on what the ticket number says. They haven't responded though so I'm wondering if they will just send stuff without replying.

No. VMV was a long process. Expect a very long letter back, and you will have to answer a TON of questions. Customer service was great, but products were just Meh. Makeup was very "frosty" and 80's looking.

oh that's such a bummer! i really want to revamp my makeup routine, but don't have the money to just buy products and go through a whole trial and error process - which is why i was excited to see a company who would send makeup samples. I got some powder from Jane Iredale and foundation and mascara from Glo (they sent me two different liquid shades, but both are 3-4 shades too dark for me. Not sure how that happened because the powder they sent is a perfect match) Any other suggestions?

I emailed them a while back and received an identical reply - the exact same email  Apparently its their standard form email.  It is ridiculous.

Garnier is giving away free deluxe samples of their new Marvelous oil on their facebook page.  I was just able to get one.  It says while supplies last (obviously!)

Apparently there are 3 Marvelous oils for 3 different hair types, but it didn't say which one is being sent out.

Thanks for posting, I just got one too!

I am in the UK, where they are not sold, but saw them in a department store in Ireland and stupidly did not test or buy any of their products.

I sent a letter to the IsaDora stall of the department store, explaining that I'd love to try their products and that I am a guy and was shy about asking on the day.

They kindly sent me full sized lipsticks and glosses.

I wanted to update - I sent out a ton of emails last weekend for samples. I heard back from 50% of the companies. Of those about 50% said they would send samples. I received DermOrganics and Redflower already!  Alot of the companies that people got samples from previously have said NO now. But thats ok, because with all the companies that did or will send products to try - It will make it easier for me to narrow down which ones I will buy full size. I really love the DermOrganics products so far! A+.  I really like the scents from Redflower. Their products are more expensive but I would buy them because they smell so great!

I suppose some companies feel like its a waste of money to send samples on request, but seriously, who wants to spend hard earned money on something that may or may not work for you?  Like I said, I can purchase from those companies who are willing to let me try before I buy.

I got the same samples from Oscar Blandi, and it's generous but I was a little disappointed, because I mentioned specific hair concerns that I wanted products for, and I definitely will not be using any of that except the serums. My hair has more texture and volume than I need, I wanted to try their smoothing products! It doesn't seem very productive for them to send out products that my email would indicate will not be something I would buy. Oh well.

That's the same thing that happened to me. I asked about their hydrating line of products but this is what they sent. I don't think they actually listened to what I said besides samples and my address.

I also requested a particular product from Oscar Blandi.   I got a very nice reply from them stating that don't always have samples of every product but when someone requests samples, they send whatever they happen to have.  I received a very generous package in the mail from them, and even though it didn't have the particular product I wanted to try, I enjoyed trying the other products that they sent to me.

I don't think it was a matter of the rep at Oscar Blandi not listening to you.  They just send out what they have when you make your request.  Sephora carries Oscar Blandi products.  You can always go there and ask for a sample.

Honestly, that shampoo/conditioner from Oscar Blandi didn't do anything in terms of adding volume to my hair, so I suggest just use it when you're not going out or something that night. Might as well - the packets gave me two full uses,
