my starter kit came in like 3 days! And omg...I LOVE that face wash and the pre oil wash! Its great..I might have to break down and buy the full size!
 
Yay! I asked shea terra about a sample of their black hips black soap and they replied that they currently had editors picks sample boxes for 5.oo (normally 10.00) I was so excited! these boxes have 3 to 5 deluxe samples for 5 bucks! I ordered 3 boxes! although the shipping was a bit steep (almost 8 bucks) i figured since I am getting the boxes for half price its still cheaper.

I went ahead and ordered too. I am hoping that since you specifically asked about the rose hips black soap and they suggested you get one ofthesample boxes that it means it is included.

she replied in her email that she would be sure to include a sample of the black soap but if u read on I made a goof I was actually speaking with beautysage cs not shea.
 
There is a beautysage box thread here on mut...gave me some idea of what is normally included in the boxes...but those boxes were sent out when beautysage first launched ...could be totally diff. Products now.

 
Yeah, I ordered the beautysage sample box from the link you posted. Hopefully I will get lucky and get the soap (oh please, oh please) but it sounds like they have decent items regardless.

man what a bummer! I just got my shipping notice today. makes me want to order a second one, but i'm wondering if everyone gets the same samples or if it'd be worth ordering a second one. hmmm....

screw it! I've been dying to try those shea terra organics body butters and those i think are about $6 on their website so it's worth it!

I just ordered 3 of them using the 30% off code.  I'll be getting the full size ones!  I love the Bananas & Baobabs, the Vanilla Bourbon is great too. I'm saving the Gingered Pumpkin for fall.  The full size is $18 and 9oz vs 1oz.  Today's the last day of the Aug coupon so the full size is like $13.  Totally worth it!

The Ginger Pumpkin Smells amazing...my favorite butter so far. Although, I keep the Vanilla Bourbon in my handbag and seem to keep putting it on my hands at work, especially when I am bored. Is that odd? Also, make sure you try the Premium Dark Chocolate Exfoliator if you're into chocolate, it's become my favorite overall product from them. Makes you smell like a brownie...

Not odd at all!  I do the same thing with the Banana's & Baobabs.  I'll finish the little 1oz pot in no time at this rate.  The Dark Chocolate is on my list for sure!  I was going to order a couple oils, but the samples I have should last for awhile so more yummy stuff this order for sure.

 
I received samples from Juice Beauty- 3 little packets of skincare items like eye & skin serum today. 

I also got my samples from Leonor Greyl, which consisted of 2 shampoos, 1 mask, 1 conditioner, and 1 serum.  These are very large in size, and I look fwd to trying them.

 
Osmotics - came through ups,  blue cooper 5 firming elasticity repair 0.5ml came with a lavender satchel, that was a nice little bonus.
Kahina - got little paper squeezepacks of argan oil, brightening serum and facial lotion
Manna Kadar - a small jar of the sheer glo, there's more than a dot of product like some girls got, but it's very messy and all over the lid, hoping gravity will help out here

Spoke with OleHenrikson they'll be sending some samples, and I'm waiting for samples from the following to arrive : melvita,  wei,   whish,   caldrea,   olie biologique, marula,   supergoop,   shu uemera,   shea terra, &  l'occitane. I've also yet to hear back from another 15 companies, whether they're backed up, my message got lost, or they're flat out ignoring requests remains to be seen.

Can anyone please post the coupon code for Beautysage?  I'd like to place a larger order if I can get 30 percent off.  Never mind, I went ahead and purchased a couple sampler boxes and used the 5 dollar off coupon.  I will try out some of the bath treatments for sinuses in the future.  I can't wait to get this!!  I'm going to save one box to give as a gift.

The 30% off is for www.sheaterraorganics.com, not beauty sage. It expires tonight, but the coupon code is aug2012. The only coupon code for beauty sage is to essentially get the sample box for the cost of shipping, and that's 5offsample.

The ones that has previously dealt with birchbox I said that I had been looking forward to their products and bummed that I missed out on them and heard other people raving about them, and asked for samples so that I could rave about them as well. The others were "had a friend recently receive/buy your products and she's been talking about them nonstop, says her skin/hair/etc has never looked better. Is it possible to get a sample to see how it will react with my skin/hair/etc prior to purchase?"


So far out of the 49 companies I've contacted : 15 I haven't heard from, 12 have said no or have run out of samples entirely, 22 have said yes- 2 of those were requests forms on fb so didn't have to do *too* much legwork there
