Hello, new member here :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I was wondering, I'm going to be putting highlights in my died brown hair, and was wondereing if I would need a toner? I thought I would, but it's bleached underneath the brown, so it might bleach quicker, like it did last time I did it.

But if I did need to tone my blonde highlights, could i tone my whole hair without affecting the brown or would I have to tone the highlights only?

Thankyou so much :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My hair is bleached blonde and I really damaged it when I first dyed it because I processed it too many times trying to get it blonde.  That was my fault because I didn't use the correct product to begin with.  I'm slowly getting the damaged ends cut off and where I've been keeping my roots up is much healthier due to using the correct products  and only doing my roots and not my whole head each time.  So, all this just to tell you, be careful you don't over process it or do too many processes in a short time period.  I would think only the blonde would really show the tones you put in and the brown would be unaffected as long as the tones don't have peroxide or bleach in them.
