Question about the powder...does it work for all complexions?
The card says:

This powder is perfect for combating shine! And the best part...it's completely invisible! This Translucent/Nude powder can be used on EVERY skin tone and is mineralized, so the ingredients allow the most natural appearance on the skin, while mattifying and creating a velvety finish.

Hello everyone! Marci, here. Just a few updates this month...

We're so excited to almost finish our shipping for April Starbox! Sorry it seems a bit late.. these weird 5 week months make it so that we ship the second to last week of the month, but we did start shipping the 18th which is almost halfway through. You should be receiving this awesome box ASAP!

NOTE: IF you have not received a tracking notification from us by the end of this week, this means you are NOT set up to receive our emails and they are possibly hitting your spam. PLEASE check your spam, whitelist our email address and start tracking! If you don't see an email at all, CALL US. We will make sure you get your tracking email each month!

You all know I started making "Why, Marci" videos to help you learn other ways of using the Starbox items.... as much as I don't think I am a good video person, I still make sure I do these as quick as possible. ;-) Unfortunately, as the owner of Starlooks, it's a little difficult to find time to record videos throughout my busy schedule, and a LOT of really exciting things are happening to us this year that I am having to work on.... BUT- the March video is coming soon, just in the process of editing... stay in touch. I promise I'll try to be earlier from now on an post sometime in the 2 weeks after that box ships.

I am still listening to your suggestions of what you would like to come out in future boxes, so keep them coming! Let us know what you want or need!

Lastly, in two months (June), Starlooks Starbox is having it's 1 year anniversary. I will be announcing some ways you can celebrate with us!

Love,

Marc

Starlooks
Thanks for the update, cant wait for the anniversary box!

When I first heard about this subscription, I had the exact same misgivings as you, except it was the '80s rather than the '90s for me.  Then the February box sucked me in because ALL OF THE PINK, so I ordered a post-release box.  And while I was at it, I tossed in the Lauren Clark Signature collection because, eh, why not.  I had just gotten an unexpected bonus at work, and I was curious.  The quality of those two sucked me in like whoa.  I ended up subscribing starting with the March box *and* ordering the January box, and then I ended up ordering a bunch of eye liners and shadows with the discount code in the March box.  I wasn't wild about the March box, but that was all due to my own pickiness (I hate mascara, and I have a block against wearing rust in the spring) than the quality (lovelove*love* the navy shadow, and the rust lipstick will come in handy in the fall when I want an autumnal lipstick but never quite manage to remember to *buy* one).

But once I tried the items I received, a light went on in my head:  This is the ground floor of a cult line.  Try this stuff now so you can smirk at your friends in five years when they *finally* get around to discovering a brand you've been using almost as long as they've been existed.  They only send their own stuff, but so does Julep.  I think the old '80s/'90s subscriptions were just a way to get cheap factory overruns cleared out, and they counted on people forgetting to cancel.  This is a quality brand working on getting a foothold in a very picky market.  I think it takes guts to start a subscription service nowadays, and it takes a good product to grow that service -- and it takes amazing customer service to win over the MUT gang, and this company has hit the trifecta.  We have no problem letting people know when a company or product is not up to par, and the fact that our only real complaints (at least the only ones I can think of) are of the ARE WE THERE YET? variety is a very good sign.

Awesome...I'm dark skinned so I always worry about getting stuff too pale for my complexion.

Omg! I'm in love with the extra! You guys are going to love it! Don't be fooled its plain Jane packaging!

Do you have to keep signing up every month or is the subscription monthly recurring?
It's recurring!  Sign up once, and you're set.

Cool, thanks! I just subscribed (you all + the April box convinced me), and it just looked weird. It said "1x Starbox for $15.00 each," so I wanted to make sure I didn't have to sign up every month.

I am trying not to see the spoilers lol I finally got shipping update. It just arrived at the USPS in Anaheim...and my arrival date isn't until Monday the 29th :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Hopefully I can hold out and not check spoilers (I have been trying to avoid this thread lol)

I got mine today and managed to remain spoiler free as well.  I received the tendergloss in polish (a coppery gold) and the powder in translucent white.  I don't know if I can wear the gloss on its own, but I think it will be beautiful as a pop of color in the middle of a red or deep plum lip.
Overall, very happy again!  My only negative this month was that my lipstick was popped out of its holder when I received it, and got a bit dinged up, but that was easy enough to shove back in and fix.
