Yes, this really works! I've also worn a satin bonnet.

Everynight i sleep with a satin scarf & pillowcase.. Just in case my scarf comes off my hair at night. Keeps my hair from breaking and keeps it moisturized. Cotton pillowcases rubs against my hair and sucks out the moisture.
