I was actually kind of looking forward to brand reps at the rouge event...then there weren't any there

And that sucks too considering the invite specified it, don't promise crap that's not going to be there.

I went to Sephora at Stoneridge Mall yesterday in Pleasanton and they still had a case full of makeup bags from Sunday. They were still giving them away and included 2 samples of Jimmy Choo and L'Occitene. When I went on Sunday to Oakridge in San Jose, they had muffins, scones, and small croissants. Water and Starbucks Coffee. No brand reps but a lot of sales associate working. The friend that I brought was a VIB and they have her a bag too, they seemed like they have more than enough to give.... IMHO, there should have been a different back for Rouge (or with more deluxe samples not foils) and VIB. You only spend at least $650 more.

I didn't see any reps at my store, just tons of SAs.

I appreciated first access to the sale even if it was only for a few days. Things have already sold out, I can't imagine how mad I'd have been with no advance.
Hey tweak - I just saw your new avatar - It's good! Very Jessica Rabbit!

Thx! I couldn't get her lips right though. I don't have full lips and you can only go so far outside your natural lips without looking like you tried to eat lipstick. It was fun though, very not me.

Yea, I think Sephora has inflated value in their minds about some things like the beauty studio access and the brand reps at the event. They think these things are wonderful apparently, while to me they're just meh.
I felt like my store did a good job about keeping the RSVP down and having a lot of help at the event. My friend and I basically had our own sales associate to ourselves for a full two hours.... and the Hourglass rep gave us both an awesome makeover.

The closed doors was pretty cool if I had stayed up I think I would have gone just for that because later in the day it was PACKED! Part of me was afraid I'd get a SA for two hours though lol. I prefer to lap the store a few times and let things come to my attention naturally. I know other people don't shop like that but I usually don't have a specific thing I'm looking for. I'm weird :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My store was packed! I like to shop mid week when they open so I'm not use to the crowds. Bumping in to people and having people reaching over me isn't fun.

I'm like that too most times. Luckily the sales associates on Sunday were good about only bothering us when we wanted to be bothered.

That's good. It's a hard balance to reach being available enough to help but not hovering.

While people have been unhappy with the Sephora Rouge program, I have read and waited to see what Sephora will be doing for Rouge this year.

Today, I realized, everyone gets 15% off.

BI : Ticket

VIB: VIBTicket

Rouge: RougeTicket

The difference between the 3 tiers are when the sale date start.

I am rouge and now that I know this is the difference, I will not attempt to re-qualify for Rouge.  Unless the $xx off $50 spend coupon varies widely between the different tiers, with the benefits of Rouge being marginally better than BI and VIB, i.e. free coffee & snacks for 2 hours, Rouge program is now officially a waste of money in my book.

Will be doing as others suggested, get 2 VIB accounts....  so can get 2 $xx off $50 spend coupons.

Yes! This Exactly!! But I have a tip/problem:

I decided early this early this year to just do multi vib accounts, because Rouge seemed so lack luster. I was not receiving points/credit for two purchases I had made at JCP Sephora and contacted FaceBook customer service to get them added to my account. They did some "research" and found the problem...My multiple accounts!!

They so "nicely" merged the accounts and wanted to know what email address I would like to use =( So now I just have my rouge account and although I received some of the missing points, my amount to reach Rouge for 2015 is $926. I've spent over $250 this year but only show $74 =( I have all my receipts but not sure it's worth the headache!

Yikes just had a earthquake in CA....

I'd just email them and tell them that you ended up with multiple accounts and they were merged but it isn't showing right. One time my in store purchases weren't adding in, and they fixed it within minutes.

That said, it s actually against beauty insider terms to have more than one account, so I'd be cautious making more than one to use to essentially game the system.

Scary -- are you near Fontana?  I see USGS shows a small temblor there about 15 minutes ago. (I'm in the insurance biz, so we try to keep an eye on things like that.)  I used to think not having earthquakes was one of the best things about being in NJ ... and then we had one.

As for the whole Rouge thing, I have a second account that I just started.  I used just my first initial, which is the same as my husband's, so if there were ever any questions from Sephora, it's his account.  My plan is to spend enough there for VIB and then stop using it until next year.  I only buy things on-line, so it's pretty easy to keep track.  I do wish they would give us a nice break-out of earnings like Ulta does, but I wonder if they don't on-purpose to keep us from realizing how much we are spending!

My second account is also under my husband's name.

Although I am still working on my original VIB Rouge account...  did not spend enough to even re-qualify for VIB yet...  which should make my husband happy, although now a days, he'd be checking out men's skin care while I shop at sephora, guess he figured he can't beat me with sephora shopping might as well join me!

I can't wait for him to get the jackblack bday gift on his account....  he'd be happy.

Maybe use your hubby's name to open second account and some joint credit card that is under his name?  Just saying...  I don't have a husband as such...

I actually got the multiple account at the assistance of a Sephora SA.  I got my b-day present, then saw the Jack Lube and wanted to get that for boyfriend instead so was trying to trade in my Fresh set for the Jack Lube and she said with a smile and wink just open another account in his name and get that for him!  So I did and didn't have to trade in 'my' B-day present.

Are things okay with the earthquake?

@jennm149 Yes I live in Rancho Cucamonga, so just next door! It was a little one 2.9, but because the center was so close it felt larger!

@FormosaHoney Good idea I will use the hubbys name for my extra account and maybe my mom's, since I have credit cards with both of them....Things are fine here after the quake, just a little on edge because we've had quite a few over the last few weeks.

These earthquakes are freaking me out! I'm just not used to them anymore because it's been so long. There was one about a week ago that lasted for like, 20 seconds. It wasn't big, but it made me realize how unstable the building I was in was.
