Me too!! Hopefully it shows up, that's very sweet if so.I said a couple of things...exciting! Hopefully this actually pans out--nothing in the mail yet. If anything, maybe this will convince my fiancee that Rouge is starting to become worth it!
Very nice gesture. Looks like that girl gave a lot of feedback in the chat. It looks like those who participated in the live chat are getting a $50 gift card as a thank you (http://community.sephora.com/t5/VIB-ROUGE/You-made-my-day-today-Sephora-Thank-you/td-p/1295618). I think it's a nice gesture.
Agree, but they are learning as they go. And one might assume the people who spoke up were those who were most frustrated and needing the most swaying back towards positive feelings for sephora. It's nice gesture, but I'm willing to wager that it's going to net them more grumblings then smiles in the future.  We can probably safely assume that the next 'chat' Sephora conducts, they will be slammed.  Gift card expectations will be high and Sephora probably won't be able to live up to the public's expectations. The intent was good but they didn't play out future scenarios very well.
Yeah pretty much this. Sephora "cast members" are for the most part very young adults who are just working a part time job. I'm confident enough in my makeup skills to say that I can do a better job than the majority of the employees would on me. Plus those testers gross me out so bad too. People touching their hair and their phones then squashing their fingers into an eyeshadow and smearing it all over their eyes? No thanks. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they're excited about that perk. They need to drop it.Considering how hard (read: almost impossible) it is to even get the SAs to acknowledge my presence most of the time, I only have one thing to say about that as a perk, and the first word rhymes with the round black thing used in hockey.Â
Yeah, like super-glued to the display, not able to be picked up for examination and accidentally swirled inside the mascara tube. You know like how some of the Maybeline mascara comes with just a plain cap and the the cap with the brush is bubble-wrapped next to the pacakge?  I think that's really good consumer packaging.   Â
I'm certain that her infection came from the makeover at Sephora, I wouldn't even question it. So gross. To be honest, the only time I've had an SA put an item on my face it was to verify that a new foundation was a good match, and even then I made sure it was one with a pump and I asked her to use a sponge. I think we all agree that this "perk" is at best worthless. I'm sure Sephora knows that too, it's just part of their marketing gimmick. I swear, no one had better try to put stuff on my face at the event on Sunday.A friend of mine recently had a makeover at a SiJCP during the Spring Color event. Â She ended up with pink eye. Â We are pretty sure she got it from the make over, because it was starting to snow that Saturday, so she want straight home and did not leave her house until she went to work on Monday, at which time a co-worker who is a nurse noticed the pinkeye. Â My friend is single and does not have kids, so there was no one at her house to bring home germs. Â She called Sephora, it took them four days to call her back, Â Then they simply said they could offer her a "small" JCP gift certificate. Â She had to throw out all of her make-up, pay for a doctor visit and a prescription and miss a day from work. Â The SA in the store said "But we wash our brushes every night..." Â How do they think that helps if the person in front of her had pinkeye!
That's the one thing I hate about brand reps being around. On top of the germ issue I have a thing about people touching me. It's not like a result of some trauma or anything, I iust don't like random people touching me. Brand reps always seem eager to "HERE LETS TRY THIS" and then I just have to try and nicely decline but they're so pushy sometimes!!I'm certain that her infection came from the makeover at Sephora, I wouldn't even question it. So gross.
