if you like orange scents try paradise by nest. it's top note is blood orange. it's wonderful. i wrote an email to the company for a sample and they sent me two of each ! i'm very allergic to some smells which is why i asked them for samples. they were very generous.

Um, if we're going to talk about GAP scents, I need a tissue handy because I am still heartbroken that OM went the way of the dinosaur... :scared:

@ The most basic difference between EDT and EDP is that Eau de Toilette has a lower concentration of perfume oil, therefore it is usually cheaper. Eau de Parfum has a bit more perfume oil (on average 5% more), so it can smell a bit stronger and last longer (in theory). BUT sometimes the same scent in EDT and EDP smells totally different, so there's no harm in preferring one to the other - in general I find that a scent that seems a bit off in one variation works well in the other! :smilehappyyes:

@@nerdi Sephora 3x points on fragrance is February 5th - 15th, if I am not mistaken. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Yup, it's VERY important to look up a scent- (there's one called Fragrantica but I'm afraid to link it, but search your perfume and it will tell you all the notes in a perfume and you can compare an EDT to EDP, It will also give you a list of similar perfumes, and you can look up fragrances by notes), because as you said, EDTs are traditionally SUPPOSED to just contain lower concentrations of the actual perfume, but MANY brands nowadays make EDTs that are a "lighter" (scent-wise) version of the original EDP, like a summer/daytime version vs the EDP's nighttime/winter version, and they can smell TOTALLY different.

I prefer heavy scents. My favorite (non-indie) scents are I Love New York For All, Viktor & Rofl Bon Bon and Flowerbomb, Oscar de la Renta Oriental Lace, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle layered under Vanille Abricot, and several Gaultier scents. But I own about 200 bottles of perfume, including almost all of Marc Jacobs's perfumes, because I am a nut for Marc Jacobs everything (his clothes and especially his shoes & handbags make up a majority of my wardrobe!- My shopping addictions went like this: Clothing, then shoes, then handbags, then perfume, makeup, and now it's candles and home accessories for my new home, lol.)

I fell in love with Cartier Declaration d'un Soir, then found out it's supposedly a men's cologne.  DGAF, I still bought a big bottle and wear it every day.

@@Shalott i used to have that issey miyake florale in the pink bottle. i really liked it at first -- but it's been very very very strong on the rose, and that's all i can smell most the time, so i ended up selling it on ebay. sounds like it might be right up your alley! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I think Feb 5 to 14th? Something like that. I can't believe I forgot Sung, by Alfred Sung. I wore that for years, but either my last bottle was spoiled somehow, or I can't wear it anymore. I'll be bummed if I can't wear it anymore.
I've found that perfume that spoil all sort of have the same "off" smell, after you spray it on. At least that's how the last 2 bottles that I tossed were. One was issey edt and one was a discontinued bbw one called serenity (still very sad I didn't use that bottle up when it still was good). They both had the same "off" base note.
Now I know if I smell that, it's time to toss the bottle.

IMO, most Atelier scents actually smell better on men. Even the more traditionally feminine ones that I thought I wouldn't like made me want to jump my ex-fiance whenever he wore them.
I'm going to make my DH try them then! I hope this theory is true because I actually love orange sanguine on myself but cedrat enivrant is a little too masculine even for me (tho it works when I layer it with orange). He hates cologne of any kind tho so I'll have to come up with some reason to spray on him.
Can't wait to jump the hubs!

Thanks all for the sephora fragrance bonus notice! I'll have to wait until then to place some orders.

@ Do you have a link to the page where you can select from old point perks that still have inventory? Sounds right up my alley!  :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  I'm hoping they add some new point perks tomorrow. I've been stalking the website hoping that the mini MJ lipstick will appear.

I made mine try orange sanguine a minute ago and it's so sexy!!!

Yay for perfume talk. I used to only use B&BW body sprays and have lately been hoarding perfume samples to find something I love (and boy have my preferences changed! Not sure if it's just I'm getting older/body chemistry stuff or what, but things that I used to not like at all are now things I have been drawn to more).

I think I will have a $25 Sephora GC earned from Swagbucks  in time for the extra points sale and I want to grab one of those $24 sets that have the voucher for a rollerball. (do those type of sets count towards that promor?) Originally, I figured I would probably grab the Spray of Sunshine over the Perfume Sampler For Her...but now they have added the Spritz of Glam set, which I think I might go with, I have tried less of those already.

From the set, I've seen you guys talking about the Chloe scent and I have tried the Gucci Guilty and MJ Daisy, but was wondering if any of you have opinions on the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb or the Philosophy Amazing Grace, since those are two I am most curious about from the set.

@ - Love's Baby Soft it still in drugstores today.   I don't think Avon was associated with it.  I had a friend who wore it so, I never felt I could really get into it.  I had to be different.  I did get it for my daughter for nostalgia's sake.  Of course, like Winnie the pooh and all things I liked as a kid, she didn't see my excitement. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thank you! Now I definitely want to try it! :smilehappyyes:

@ I was afraid if I typed anything else in there with the link it wouldn't work...that is the one I use...they also have an active promo perk one too - Sephora/Advice/Beauty Insider and then I think it is the first or second topic.  Link posted below...in a separate post... :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Love amazing grace - it's a very light scent and I think a lot of people like it. It's generally pretty inexpensive tho - I think the rollerball is $20 so not as worth it. Also doesn't last very long.
I'm not personally a fan of flower bomb but I know people that love it.

I think there is another set also $24 but with a few other options.

Went to my sijcp today, they only had the ptr birthday gift displayed? I hope they don't run out of that one for a few more months, 'cause I want one!

Also they had a ton of formula x on sale- grabbed alchemy, since I had heard so many good things about it!

not sure if this has already been posted, but i just got an email saying that i've been re-enrolled in flash. i made rouge end of last year, but have had flash since june 2013.  i remember trying to enroll when flash became open to the public but they told me i couldn't since i already had flash.

then i got an email telling me to re-enroll. looks like they did it for me.

Amazing grace is one of my favorite scents ever! It lasts all day on me and I get compliments every time I wear it. It's so fresh and clean, but not "laundry" smelling.

I got the same email. I'm not sure it's really that much of a benefit since I have free rouge shipping until the end of 2015 and that's when the flash expires too.
