Funny reading about LD perfumes not lasting...I loved the original, but it lasted about 10 minutes. I got a sample of the summer one, and want to get a sample of the new one. I haven't tried my summer sample yet because I'm on a Chloe, Chloe See, and Chloe Love Story kick LOL!

Although, Chloe See just got kicked to the curb...so now it's just the other two. I'm waiting for triple point Feb to start at Ulta so I can get the rollerballs or full sizes...haven't decided which yet. My roommate says Chloe smells soapy but I love how clean it smells, even if people think it is my laundry soap LOL I do love the clean scent.
What is LD perfumes?
I LOVE Chloe EDP. I'm not a fan of see, and I just got the love story mini to smell it and I don't think I like it that much either. I thought see smelled great until I tried it on me, so I think it's a chemistry thing. I haven't tried love story on yet, but I don't love it enough to.

I don't think Chloe smells like soap at all! First time I smelled it I thought it was very fruity (like lychee or something) but now it's more floral to me. What soap does your roommate use that smells like Chloe? I'd love to add that to my routine :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />.

Love seeing others here that love the scents I love. My nose is very particular and most scents give me a headache, but issey and Chloe do not. (Chloe can if I use more than one spritz tho.. Luckily it's one of the longest lasting perfumes I've ever used so I omt need to use more!)

Also, love the rose Chloe one, but it doesn't last on me.

@@nerdi @ y'all have inspired me to go search my sample stash for the Chloe perfumes. I know I have at least one. I have so many lonely little vials I haven't ever cracked open! I tend to prefer either super clean scents or berry/citrus scents. I currently have bottles of Gucci Flora (my first* perfume love ever - *I actually meant to buy the eau fraiche version after falling in love with a sample but sephora didn't have it in store so I just bought the regular one, they're very similar), MJ Dot, and a gigantic bottle of MJ Daisy Dream. I want to buy a bottle of Atelier Vanille Insensee next because it's DELICIOUS but $$$$$ :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

@@wadedl yay for perfume! I'm really glad my bf doesn't have any bad reactions to it. When we first got together the only comments I got were along the lines of "you smell different today" and he's used to the perfumes in my rotation by now so he doesn't say anything.

There's a duo of atelier orange and vanille for $18 at sephora. I bought it, but really only got it for the orange.  I don't really like the vanille... it's too sweet for me.  I sprayed it in the store and couldn't get the smell off me fast enough. but i can't get enough of the orange.  since you like vanille and like citrus maybe this is the perfect set for you:

I'm not sure if you'll like chloe but i love it and also love that it's so often a sample. i have a bunch of the sample vials and keep one in my purse at all times.

my favorite mj is honey, i think. dream may be next, but when i tried it, it was so similar to others from mj that i didn't really want to try it any more, if that makes sense. (not unique to me) i tried daisy but it was too floral for me, and tried eau fresh, which is okay (better than daisy) but it's too much fruit and not enough floral i think. i don't know... hard to describe. none of them are my favorite tho. i wouldn't buy a big bottle.  there are others i'd get before them, i guess. (and i use so little perfume that it's a huge waste to have so many big bottles)

I actually have this set already! I bought it after getting a sample vial of the vanilla and thought it was a great price to get a mini of it and to be able to try the orange. unfortunately I don't like the orange once it's on me, my body chemistry changes it into something weird that I can't even describe :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I dabbed a little on and just immediately had to wash it off. It's so funny how fragrances work lol.

The funny things is he used to like Angel and bought me a giant bottle of it a couple of years ago!

@ if you go Sephora's Beauty talk, there is a point perk forum with links to past, but still in stock, point perks.  Chloe is still available there, I think for 250 points.  I've added it to every order I've made since discovering that forum.

All you have to do is click the link, and add to cart!  easy!  They have links for all three point ranges too.

Just in case you have the extra points, don't care about them, and don't have a sample handy. LOL!

Sorry, that's Issey Mayke's L'Eau D'Issey (pronounced like 'low dis hay' but the h in hay is silent, LOL!)

ETA:  And it was Sephora that has the upcoming 3x points on perfume, I thought it was Ulta...and it may be Ulta too, but Sephora advertised it already.

Ooh thanks for the heads up! I'm too lazy to get up from the couch at the moment but I'm 99% certain I have a sample in my dresser. But seriously, why does Sephora have to hide those links of perks? You'd think they'd want to get rid of them lol!

all this perfume talk made me go try on chloe love story. i don't mind the scent, but i'm not gaga over it. it reminds me of some other classic scent that i can't place right now... if i can figure it out i'll come back here and post about it!

oh, hehe. i just call it classic issey. did you have EDT or EDP? the EDP lasts awhile for me... EDT doesn't as much so i actually used up almost an entire 100ml bottle.  i got tired of it after using about 85% of the bottle, and switched to another HG (l'eau par de kenzo) and then when i came back to the issey EDT, it had turned and smelled funny!    i had to toss it... and then i went and bought a bottle of EDP. hopefully the EDP doesn't turn on me... i layer it with the pink one to get a bit more of a lasting scent.

Whooo, lots of fun talk about perfumes. I LOVE the original L'Eau de Issey. My Aunt bought my a bottle as a gift in high school and it sat proudly on my dresser with Angel for several years! The variations, though, I am not a fan of - I don't do "clean" scents in general.

All the Chloe variations are a no-go for me. I can tolerate Roses for a bit, but after a while even that gives me a headache.

But if you like clean, fresh florals the new Balenciaga B. might be perfect. It reminds me of something I can't put my finger on - maybe Chance? Not sure, but it very nice and not too flowery, just fresh and clean and a bit like lily.

I love the bottles for Balenciaga's fragrances, too. I wish I could find one I'd actually wear because they look gorgeous on a vanity!
