Hm, I'm pretty close with her, but like earlier this year, I sent her a small sample of BB's Beauty Protector hair oil (she was looking for some hair stuff) and two polishes, and it seemed to me she already felt like it was a lot?I struggle with doing things like this too - giving too much (sounds funny now that I typed it) but if you won't have a problem with it - then go for it!! Your friends that are close enough to warrant a gift like that, must know you pretty well. You give because you want to, not because you pity them or feel like you have to give because they can't get for themselves or whatever the feeling on the other side might be...but you know what I mean there, right?
If you are super duper uncertain, like over worrying about it - then decide not to do it, and stop the worrying! I can say that with my head held high, because my friends tell me that all the time so I know what to say - but I'll be damned if I can practice what I preach! Oops!
Hmmm, maybe I'm not being very helpful here...well I hope you are able to decide and not worry about it though! Because it's the most wonderful time of the year! :laughno:
TBH, lol sometimes them taking things is actually doing me a favour as well because I just have so much stuff and I don't want it to go to waste. But I can understand if you can't buy something for yourself and then someone gets it for you, it might seem like a bit of a pity gift and then you feel obligated to get them something back, which is what I don't want. (I mean, I'm not financially super great, but her situation is a mess because of her family and it'd be nice for her to have something for herself...maybe I'll look around and see if I can come up with a good alternative.)
I mean, i don't have a problem getting my friends stuff, but I definitely want to be mindful of their feelings as well. Even if you tell someone they're not obligated, if you get them something, they might feel bad if they don't get you something in return (like I definitely would). So maybe I'll get her something nice for her birthday :3
