I struggle with doing things like this too - giving too much (sounds funny now that I typed it) but if you won't have a problem with it - then go for it!!  Your friends that are close enough to warrant a gift like that, must know you pretty well.  You give because you want to, not because you pity them or feel like you have to give because they can't get for themselves or whatever the feeling on the other side might be...but you know what I mean there, right?

If you are super duper uncertain, like over worrying about it - then decide not to do it, and stop the worrying! I can say that with my head held high, because my friends tell me that all the time so I know what to say - but I'll be damned if I can practice what I preach!  Oops!

Hmmm, maybe I'm not being very helpful here...well I hope you are able to decide and not worry about it though!  Because it's the most wonderful time of the year! :laughno:   

Hm, I'm pretty close with her, but like earlier this year, I sent her a small sample of BB's Beauty Protector hair oil (she was looking for some hair stuff) and two polishes, and it seemed to me she already felt like it was a lot?

TBH, lol sometimes them taking things is actually doing me a favour as well because I just have so much stuff and I don't want it to go to waste. But I can understand if you can't buy something for yourself and then someone gets it for you, it might seem like a bit of a pity gift and then you feel obligated to get them something back, which is what I don't want. (I mean, I'm not financially super great, but her situation is a mess because of her family and it'd be nice for her to have something for herself...maybe I'll look around and see if I can come up with a good alternative.)

I mean, i don't have a problem getting my friends stuff, but I definitely want to be mindful of their feelings as well. Even if you tell someone they're not obligated, if you get them something, they might feel bad if they don't get you something in return (like I definitely would). So maybe I'll get her something nice for her birthday :3

If I used my $25 card online at Sephora.com last week (placed the order the 7th), would it still work at a JCP Sephora today? I was thinking about heading to the mall and giving it a try if so. I didn't know if you had to do it in a certain time frame or not. Thanks!

So I just realized this morning that I didn't receive my "delight" promo item from an order mid last week.  It was the eye patch whatevers..  I looked everywhere and in all my bags, and I am certain it didn't get thrown out with the box (I have to break them all down to throw out).  

I was super ticked off.  Not the end of the world obviously, but I was due it and I would have used it.  It seems almost too late to say anything to Sephora about it at this point, and I'm sure they'd just give me some points if anything, which doesn't help not having the item.  

But then I got my Macy's order full of Mac "red, red, red collection" stuff, which is my Christmas present from hubby (sshhhhh, I sneaked swatches today to make sure they'll work), and I can't freaking wait until Christmas now!  *googly eyes*  

Also got my Nordstrom order with the Mac brown eyes keepsake bag, and omg, I have never loved an eyeshadow formula as much as this extra dimension kind (and the mascara)!  

Then to bring it round to Sephora again.. I see one of my three orders on the way is going to be delivered a day early (tomorrow)!  So Yay!  

I still have a Sephora store credit to use, and I can't figure out what to get with it.  Has anybody here tried the Clinique baby tint lip balms?  The purple one looks so pretty in the stock photo.

So my Sephora trip today was an adventure lol. My friend and I went through the whole store to find a palette she liked best and she decided on the Tarte Bon Voyage set. There was an issue with her debit card so we asked to suspend the transaction so we could step out of line and sort the issue out and when we went back they accidentally scanned a receipt for a different order and she paid for it without realising (there was only a $3 difference and neither of us noticed until the SA was like "wait, this is tarte, not MUFE...?!") apparently there was some recent change in their return system and it took them a while to figure out how to reverse the charge and reissue it as store credit to get the right item instead, and then they tried to charge her another $18 because they forgot we'd used the $20 VIB discount. Then finally they managed to apply the discount again and ended up owing her $3, which they gave her in cash. Everyone at the store (it took 3 people including the director in charge to get things straightened out) was super nice through the whole process, which I really appreciated since they were crazy busy.

I ended up redeeming the 100pt DL perk, they had it on display and it was so cute and bigger than I expected so I couldn't resist picking it up /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I would've gotten the formula x mini too but I already have a le metier polish in the same exact shade.

I got the lipstick in 5 alarm (really bright, but sheer, so not too in your face), eye shadows in Give me Fire and Red Alert, Cremesheen in Meteoric, and Casual Color in Red Obsessed.  I really want Lady Bug lipstick, but it is on backorder for almost a month everywhere.  I'll try to pick it up later though closer to the backorder ship date.  There aren't many mac collections where I'm actively wanting several items, but this red collection is right up my alley.  

I really wish Sephora would sell mac makeup!  At least online.

To be fair the transaction would've been totally fine if there wasn't an issue with my friend's card, and I can see how they could accidentally pick up the wrong barcode receipt when they didn't realise there was a 2nd suspended order on such a busy day. We didn't mind all, but we definitely would've been annoyed if they'd been rude about it. Thankfully the staff at that particular sephora is always lovely! Yeah I haaaate removing glitter polishes but with the holidays coming up I can definitely see myself using it over festive polish, plus I've never tried DL so I got one /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I ordered with two different codes (a few days apart) and didn't have any problems. One was my $20 VIB card, and one was my sister's $15 BI card.

Did the item go out of stock by any chance?

Did you make multiple separate orders on the same day? The only time I've ever had an order canceled was when I placed 4 in 1 day and the 4th was canceled.
ETA: to clarify - the 4 orders were not made during this promotion
