Sephora now sells Lime Crime?!  I have just enough on my gift card to pick up two items with the GIFTVIB code that is still working, and I was all set to hit place order. I think I'm going to try and save the little bit that's left on my card though to put towards Black Friday.  Hmmm...

Awesome...I wonder if they will be adding the grunge palette?

This might have already been mentioned, but I am pretty happy with the Benefit holiday blush set - with the VIB discount it came to $29! And I have never in my life hit the pan of a blush, so sets like that are a much better "investment" than individual full-sized packaging.

I spent enough at Ulta and department stores this year that I could have easily hit Rouge but I've had some bad CS experiences with Sephora.  Now I'm pretty firmly not going to shop at Sephora anymore. I just cashed in 500 points and I won't look back.  I do not want my money supporting people like Doe.

Also not being cruelty free... I always have a big mouth about the topic, but really, I'd be suspicious of anyone making that claim unless if you have total control of your supply chain and can verify it.

But if Sephora gets their ***** kicked over Lime Crime's false claims (as now advertised on their website) I would be the first here to popcorn.gif

Ladies - I need opinions. I have a ton of palettes. All of the TooFaced palettes, all the naked, stila, and most of the tarte. I have last years Kat Von D also.

I have been looking at the Hello Kitty and Kat Von D Star Studded for the past few days. Should I purchase or am I good enough. I tend to stay on the neutral side so maybe they are too colorful for me. Any suggestions? or perhaps just tell me the eyeshadow formulas stink, then my mind will be at ease for missing them.

Kinda late to the party, but the kvd is terrible! I swatched in store and it was really spotty, I agree some of the wet and wild are better. But if you need some enabling the Vice palette is awesome. I purchased it on a whim and even though the packaging isn't my favorite, the product it very good. I'm a neutral girl mostly, but wanted some color that is wearable on the daily.

That one purplish eyeshadow in the KVD palette is SHOCKING. Even $1 wet n wild shadows don't apply anywhere near that badly!!

That being said, I always take temptalia's "grades" with a grain of salt because I don't like how she reviews lipsticks. I just visit her site to look at swatches. It doesn't sit right with me that she'll rave about how a lippie gets 6-8 hours of wear for a normal day - but apparently a normal day for her while testing is just a cup of coffee and maybe a few sips of water! And she'll knock the grade down pretty low if it needs reapplying within 2-3 hours. That's nowhere near a "normal" day of wear and tear on my lips, and based on the amount of water I drink every day I definitely don't mind having to reapply my lipstick every few hours.

i thought i've read somewhere that she adjusts the color of the photos so that they'd look as close as possible to the real thing..

what i don't trust about her blog is her dupe list. so fail! haha i still really enjoy her blog though.

I feel like she may have mentioned that she makes a conscious effort to not even press her lips together - I don't want to know how long a lipstick lasts if I don't eat/drink/press my lips together, I want to know if it'll miraculously last through a greasy southern meal lol! Or, y'know, if it tends to fade strangely (cough sephora rouge infusion cough) or feather so I don't accidentally go to a fancy event and turn into the joker without realising it!

Her lighting is definitely fancy/pro and not very real-life appropriate, but I find that I get a good enough impression of how lip products will look on me to keep me going back to check her pictures. I do have to mentally darken her lip swatches by a few shades though, since her lips are paler than mine - that's probably why I don't really mind that her swatches aren't 100% accurate lol!

I know! I'm always super "..." at ladies who are like "oh, I see OCC / Stila / ____ and it stays on me an entire day." I did actually go to a party once with a friend who wore OCC Stalker with the OCC primer I think and it definitely did not look like it budged on her. For me, it's Revlon Top Tomato even though I tend to dislike the texture. I find it works best if you use it as the base and layer more (red) color on it. I've definitely gotten through an entire meal with it barely budging, and I am the worst about keeping lipstick in tact when I eat and drink XD

I've had pretty good wear with her lipsticks.  With the painted love ones I do my 8 hour work shift including a lunch and its still on when I get out.  And I recently got Underage red in The Star studded look and it lasted me morning til night.  I had to scrub it off.

I think I prefer to wear the same type of coral-y blushes. I have a large blush collection, and my HG remains Benefit's Coralista. I'm not sure if it's got any shimmer, but if so it's quite subtle as I don't notice it. I think it's definitely worth a try!

@ - Tarte. The tarte website describes the colors better than the Sephora site. Only a few have shimmer I believe.

For those wanting the SIJCP mailers, the next time you are in store, make sure you ask them to edit your profile and add your address. We don't know if your address is in there just off of scanning your card, the basic profile just shows us your name and points.. And It doesn't automatically come across from your online profile which is where I did all of my shopping at (at least in my experience, once I started working there I added mine in).

I swear it still took a few months to actually get the mailers though. I also wonder if it's ever based off of in store purchases, I updated my daughters profile months ago and she never gets the mailers.. But unless she's buying the item herself (which isn't to often, she's 14) I use my card so that I can get the points. If you never get the mailers, maybe a few small purchases will make it happen.. Who knows!

Do you know why I would have gotten one mailer...one...teaser...seducing...mailer...and no more?  (ok, maybe not THAT seducing LOL!) I didn't get the one with the free mirror - and most of my in-store purchases are through SiJCP!!  I always joke with the ladies there, that if they carry what I want - I'll do my returns at the big store, and buy from them!  I was super excited to run out to my PO box today JUST FOR THAT MAILER (ok maybe for my ebates check too)...and oh nonononono it wasn't there.  :scared:
