Almost 2 hours of "we're sorry Sephora is experiencing a high traffic volume...." and being able to browse and add to my shopping cart.  I guess it gives me time to be sure I am getting what I should get. 

I have a daughter turning 13.  She wants Naked2 for Christmas.  I don't even have that!  I suppose we could share.   I am wondering if she is too young and the mother of the year award will pass me by again this year.

Well, apparently I'm super old school. But my mom didn't let me wear makeup until I was 15, so that's probably the age I will go with if I have kids. I mean obviously everyone is different though!

Does she already wear makeup? Maybe one of the basics ones would be good?

Either way that's an awesome gift though!

ugh, why didn't I save the VIB barcode to my phone's passbook yesterday? I didn't realise I would have to link up with the sephora site to do it.. My lovely daughter woke me up at 3 am PST so of course i started shopping, and it went through ok. Now I try it and... nope! is that really what it takes to use the 20% off, 3 am? She currently wears a little mascara (that I can't see) and a little lip color.   All products I got from Glossy (I think) that just weren't for me (Too Faced Mascara, Melted Peony and a fugly Jelly pong pong stick).   Items I gave her to play with.

Right now, her "style" is subtle and I would definitely stop her if she left the premises looking overly done. 

The thing with her is she never asks for anything.  I can never get a wish list.  I think because I knew I was ordering from Sephora, I asked her if there was anything she would like.   I think she is following my lead!

Change of plans. occ to tinted moisturizer is breaking me out. UGGH. I guess that's $29 back into my budget?

I have OCC tinted moisturizer and it doesn't break me out because it's free of silicones, but I didn't like it much because the coverage was super sheer- like, barely even there. Yeah, you should return it if you werent' happy with it (did you buy it yet or were you just using a sample?) and put that $29 to something better, like BITE SETS!!!!

To everyone who asked, yes I can make an extra thread. Where should I put it? I can put the formulas, other sources, and places to get the things you need to make the advanced formulas.

That sucks- I know a few days ago on Sephora community they were saying the emails were still going out. I didn't get mine until yesterday. Maybe yours is late or went to spam? I hope you get the barcode somehow....

It tells me the GIFTVIB code isn't valid yet the rare times the page loads.  About to not give them my money tonight.  Boo!  Boo, I say!

My daughter turned 13 in July.  Hey Christmas wishlist: UD Naked3 pallet, OCC lip tar set, the Tarte foundation airbrush brush (Mommy, it is soooo much softer than all the other Kabuki brushes!), and a Clairisonic Mia 3.....Apparently my love for make up has rubbed off on her....

I am ok with her wearing make up.  She does get a little carried away with it.  I am trying to actually teach her how to apply it- something my mother never did for me.  I am hoping we can avoid that whole awkward learning curve phase where tweens look like street-walker Barbie....She doesn't seem to agree that 13 year olds don't need foundation and a smokey eye lol.  So if you are a bit apprehensive about buying make up, I think the Naked palettes are the way to go. Subtle...even if they cake it on, it shouldn't illicit too many dirty looks.  The part I am struggling with is spending $54 on eyeshadow for a 13 year old!!! B)

Have y'all checked out the Facebook page?  Everyone is expressing their annoyance/rage quite thoroughly there hasn't been a single response from a Sephora representative.  It's like a repeat of Black Friday last year, if not worse.  I went to the Rouge event last night and they offered to order anything that they didn't have in the store.  I wonder if they can get through to online ordering??? Probably not but it's worth a call I think.

I SO wish for this one 20% off VIB thing they would let you use two at once. Dear Sephora, you are giving me way too much time to think about what is in my cart.  I put that expensive, doesn't last long bottle of Wen in my cart.  But, then you went down.  Now, I am thinking I shouldn't buy this.  I could go back to my $3.99 Aussie Shampoo and be guillt fee.  Yet, I am having a good freakin hair day and I think Wen does work for me.  So, you won this battle - I will get it.  But, I may remove something else from my cart if you wait much longer! This is torture.

Ew, yuck! So tacky! The company Shashi that they were promoting as gifting the bracelets normally does kinda cute beaded designs. Thanks for sharing but yeah, glad I didn't wait in line for that. 

I am $75 away from renewing Rouge for next year and I know I will spend that much but the benefits of shopping as a Rouge member aren't all that enticing...free shipping is nice (esp as a Canadian) but beyond that....??? I do much better shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart and crushing it with Optimum points.
