I've always been afraid of trying the SK II line.  If it ends up amazing, it is too expensive long term.. But then again, if it is as good as the claims, it'll save a pretty penny later down the line for doctor visits/treatments etc for the face.. Does anyone know if Sephora puts out products that were returned?

I'm feeling extremely guilty about buying The Naked Vault because it's just so so much money. I would hate to return it and have them not be able to sell it to someone who actually would adore it.

I love the vault but I just feel so awful that I spent that much money in one go. It would be one thing if someone got it for me for Christmas, but that's totally not the case.

I don't know for sure but I don't believe they're supposed to put them back out. If you love it you should let go of the guilt and give it to yourself freely and without judgement. Just my two cents!

Hmm, I wonder if it'll be moisturizing enough for me this winter then?  Decisions, decisions... 

I've been using, and liking, the FAB ultra repair facial moisturizer.  Some days it isn't enough though, and I use the regular repair cream of the same formula, which works fine.  

I was interested in this Embryolisse cream, or maybe trying the Kate Somerville Goat Milk cream.   Maybe I'll get the Embryolisse online to try it, and then a sample this weekend of the Goat Milk cream...  If the Emb. wins, yay for cheaper skin cream, lol.. if the Goat Milk wins, I can pick up some before the sale period ends online.. Aaand in the event they both suck on me, I can pick up a new bottle of my usual last minute.  

Is it weird that the Emb. cream totally confuses me?  It takes makeup off... but then it also works before makeup for moisturizer etc.. How does it keep makeup looking nice if it is good at taking it off too? LOL  One of those "I don't get it, but I gotta try it" things I guess.  

A lot of moisturizers also remove makeup. I used to use Clinique moisturizer (the yellow one) to remove makeup all the time when I was younger. Now I just prefer cleansing water cause it's lighter weight and I'm not big on heavy stuff on my face.

Has anyone seen the new Smashbox Double Exposure palette? It looks like it's Rouge only for now. I'm hesitating because IIRC, the original Exposure palette didn't get such great reviews.

If you love it and all the items in it and you'll use them, then I would try to let go of the guilt. It's a lot of money all at once, but think of all the eyeshadow palettes and blush and lipgloss you won't be tempted to buy now, since you have those new pretties to play with! I don't know if they can resell returns--I think we have gotten mixed reports when people have asked. That said, if you're going to have trouble enjoying the products due to guilt but want to make sure they get love, maybe you could see if someone on here would be interested in buying it from you? That way you know it's going to a good home.

Is this stuff any good? I remember Birchbox sending it out before, but I never got it. I'm due for more moisturizer this weekend, and was curious about this cream when I saw it online at Sephora...

I've bought the $16 size from birchbox a few times when I was trying to hit the $35 mark for the pick two, so I always had a 20% off code.. It's really moisturizing and didn't break me out but I don't think it was helpful for antiaging (I'm 34 so I look for that). It doesn't have SPF. If my skin is feeling dry then I put it on first and then my regular paulas choice moisturizer with SPF.

If its been swatched of looks used they probably wouldn't resell it.  You need to treat yourself good. If you really love it keep it.

I love it because it lasts all day. It's $26.00 for 2oz. Right now they have free shipping on everything and 5 free samples with $5+ order. I just tried adding samples of the moisturizer to my cart and discovered that if you add 7, they only charge you for 2 of them. So $1.60 for 7 samples and free shipping! Also ebates is 5% back.

I've been slowly buying paulas choice through birchbox and now their website.. I love this moisturizer! It is so, so hydrating.. I stopped buying embrolysse (sp?) once I discovered this. My favorite for SPF is the Moisture Boost Moisturizer SPF 30. The finish on it is my favorite.

we pretty much NEVER put anything back on the shelf. I have only done it once where it was purchased that morning and she came back and you could tell it had not been opened and the bag/wrapping was exactly how I had put it in. But really, we aren't willing to risk putting a used product back on the shelf, people lie and you never know who to believe or not. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Some things we can save to use as future testers but otherwise it goes in the trash. The trash! I know sephora makes a lot of money but as a makeup lover, it hurts my heart! And it hurts our store numbers, our SIJCP is smaller so a huge return really can ruin our plan for the day. I know most customers don't care about those things (I never even thought about it before) but it sucks when you had a great sales day but terrible store numbers due to returns. That being said, if you hate something, please return it.. That's what it is there for. My thoughts on the vault.. I love my naked palettes and all the things UD. They are really good products, I adore their shadows. Can you set some of it aside as your Christmas present? You could even bundle some things you won't use to give as presents, like a blush and liner or gloss. Then it's knocking down your shopping list, plus a good treat for yourself. If I didn't already own a lot of it, I'd justify the hell out of buying it haha

I haven't had a huge amount of luck with the tiny amount of products I've tried from Paula's Choice (via birchbox), but they weren't moisturizers either.  

I just ordered: 6 samples of that particular moisturizer, 1 of men's face wash, 4 of both night time men's cream and soothe and smooth (my hubby has sensitive skin so maybe this will help him?).. using the 20% code, ebates, free shipping, and with tax, spent 7 and change.

I used to get constant breakouts on my chin and have more redness, the liquid exfoliants are amazing! The 2% BHA liquid and the 8% AHA gel have my skin mostly clear and glowing!
I wish they had travel sizes of everything a la Benefit.. I'd buy everything.

I love her liquid exfoliants too! They have made the biggest difference in my skin. I just tried the C15 (via bzzagent) and I will be purchasing the full size once I finish up the samples.

I REALLY wish Paula's Choice would do minis too. The only time I get minis from them is when they're running a promo, but usually it's something I don't even use. The Resist C-15 mini was adorable! And the 2% BHA liquid comes in a 1 oz size, which is handy. I wonder if it's refillable?

I think the current 20% for Paula's Choice is AMC1520. I think it lasts through tomorrow. There seems to always be some kind of coupon floating about, so I always end up googling "Paula's Choice coupon," as there are some out there that they don't email.

I remember hearing that Smash box reformulated their Full Exposure palette and a lot of people said the new formula was good. Also, a lot of people are loving their On the Rocks holiday palette (the bigger one) so I'm hoping this one is the same formula!!

Im so curious about this. Do you have a good one you would recommend?

My concern is my skin tends to react so, so, so badly to acids. Salicylic acid makes me break out like crazy. Stuff with BHA makes me break out like crazy. We won't discuss the 3 months from hell on Retin A.  I don't know if they're too harsh for me or if something in them just doesn't agree but I feel like everything with "acid" in it is just a disaster...and with Vitamin C being basically citric acid (I think?? It's been a while since I've been in school) it might cause problems...anyone that knows more about skincare/science than I do help me out?
