I love their brushes!!

Which do you like better, the hg or meteorites?
Me too! I'm also obsessed with their blush brush, it's perfect I think.

Honestly, I prefer the Hourglass powder because of the warm glow it gives me, which during the summer months with a tan is great!

I do love the Meteorites too, but on me they give more of a highlight glow than a warmth glow... if that makes any sense... Which is why I've been eyeing the holiday Meteorites! Guerlain seems to be trying their hand at a warmer set of meteorites with this years' holiday set.

Thank you all.  I had read a lot of mixed reviews about the Guerlain brush as well so I didn't want to just take the plunge.  They just got here and I used a powder brush with them and that seemed to work well.  I might see about picking up a new brush though. I really like them, the scent is lovely
Yea, I've also heard mixed reviews on the Guerlain brush. I originally purchased the e.l.f. Essentials Total Face Brush (http://www.eyeslipsface.com/elf/tools/single-brushes/total_face_brush) because it looked similar in appearance. I'm sure this e.l.f. brush is hardly comparable in quality to Guerlain's, but it was cheap and worth a shot. It was scratchy and once I found the Real Techniques brush, I never used it again lol

I'm glad you like the Meteorites! They really are one of the most fun beauty products I own =)

I have a question....

I realized that the 0.5oz Glamglow Youthmud treatment is on sale for $19 at Sephora. I thought it was just a random price that was advertised, but apparently they do sell in that size. the 1.7oz is $69.... at $19, that's 15mL of product, or $1.27/mL. However, at the $69 for 50mL price, it's $1.38/mL... more than 11c/mL more expensive (since the $1.27 is actually rounded up).

What. Has no one else noticed that? What's the incentive to buy the large size then??? :/

regarding the brush topic, i use the Koyudo BP008 for light application of powders (i don't have the meteorites, but i use this brush for finishing powders). at the time, it costed me about $70 but it's worth it. also, i just wanna throw it out there that Hakuhodo J110 works amazing with the hourglass ambient lighting blushes. I LOVE!

I am going to look into the brushes you guys are  mentioning.  I have major brush issues and never can find the right one for anything..

I have 2 nars brushes coming my way  one is the  Mie and the other is  Yachiyo  kabuki  anyone like these brushes ?     I haven't got them yet.    They were $55 dollars each too  :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  .   Ordered them from Nordstoms

could anyone tell me if their orders have been cancelled once the status says  "sent to the warehouse?" (in regards to the small mini purchases to redeem the bonus points)

Ime ELF essential face brushes are something awful. Some of the eye ones are good - I still use the blending eye brush religiously. Their studio brushes are much softer.. I use the studio powder brush. I prefer the high def brush from Walmart.. The powder and blush brushes are great.
I looove the real techniques blush brush!! It's soooo soft and fluffy... The only issue I have is that it's a little big IMO. And I have a pretty big face. My friend with a smaller face uses it for powder I think.

I've had the same experience with Elf brushes. There's very little quality control, so you could get an amazing $1 brush or garbage. My http://www.eyeslipsface.com/elf/brushes/single-brushes/blending_eye_brush is softer than my Hakuhodo eye brush, but the face brush I got was painfully scratchy. As in I examined it to see if there were any wires or plastic bits in it, but nope it's just an outstandingly scratchy brush.

New(?) 500 point perk

That's newish, but was also around a few months ago when they had all those points for like... the trip to LA, etc.

Worst 500 point perk ever. You get the complimentary makeover card when you become a VIB, and honestly, you can get a free one sometimes just by asking. So bogus. Why are they fooling themselves?

Yeah, I've never even used the free makeover from making VIB, I'd never spend 500 points on one.
On an unrelated note, I got my 3 sephora orders in just now and I was really excited to finally try flowerbomb but unfortunately it smells like artificial caramel on me :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I'm going to give it another try in a few days - I had a 103 fever last night and all my senses are super heightened for some reason right now so maybe it'll smell different when I'm back to normal. Otherwise it'll just have to look cute and pretty on my dresser lol

That's the one that I love! I have so many of those blending eye brushes... Some are fluffier than others, but all are soft. The $1 eyeshadow brush is good too, but all the face brushes I've tried in the $1 line are terrible. The $3 face brushes are better, but not amazing.

So that being said, how much shimmer can a 40-something get away with on a daily basis? I work in a business environment...I wish I was a better internet surfer, but I get frustrated trying to find videos on you tube, and you all are so full of info - and always so so so helpful. Seriously, the love on these pages is amazing...I haven't found any other forum where people are so nice. Even the forums on sephora's website are pretty catty.

Thanks to you all for any feedback!!
I hope a lot of shimmer and glitter! I'm 36 and have enough to last the next decade, making me 46 when my stock pile is depleted and forcing me to hit up the reserve depositary I buried at my nieces house.

I have the Yachiyo and love it. It gives me a quick easy way to apply blush that looks diffused. I use it more than any other brush I own. I found out why some people think the Nars brushes are scratchy last night. They had two set of the brushes you can touch at Nordstrom and one of the Yachiyo brushes was hard and scratchy and the other was super soft like the one I have. I am planning on buying the holiday set with Mie when it comes out. I am super excited about the Mizubake after touching it last night.

I noticed that when I first started buying Glamglow Youthmud as well. I personally like the bigger size because (I think) it helps keep the mud more moist, whereas the smaller ones dry out a little bit for me and I have to add water. But I bought one large size a while ago for the container, and now I just keep restocking with several of the small sizes and putting the mud into the larger container.

I have no idea what they were thinking with the pricing...
