I ordered one of the Tarte eye shadow palettes from the sale section, and it was a mess when I opened it. Disappointed.

Also, it was strange. The box it came in said "Sephora," but it was like no box from them I've ever received. It was rectangular (I thought it was Ulta at first) and instead of the recycled brown paper, there was plastic bubble wrap.

If you try the Lace one, let us know how it is.  All I've found for reviews on the red lace is not so good.  Apparently it looks and feels chunky and not like lace?  I don't know.  I'm hoping it lands in the store soon so I can try it.

The cashmere one looks really nice.  I just got a Dior polish about the same color though, so I didn't pick that one up yet.

I have to say, I think I favor fall makeup and nail releases more than any other season!
Yeah, and someone else said the cashmere one looked "chunky" and weird, but for some reason Nails Inc reviews are always really negative IMO, and they never match up with my own opinion. I can't really see how the polish could REALLY look like lace at all, but hopefully it's still pretty! I'll let you know how I like it :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Anybody know when Sephora is getting Urban Decay Naked Basics 2. I've been stalking the site for a week. I thought it was supposed to be yesterday but I can't find it.
@ It is on there!  I saw it this AM! I am late so I am sure you already know haha but I thought of you when I saw it this AM on the app.  I think Ulta emailed me which prompted me to check Sephora!

Does anyone have any opinions on the KVD palettes that are on sale right now? I've always wanted to try that brand, esp the eyeshadows......

Some of the reviews on the lace color, I wonder if they were applying it correctly.  You're supposed to put a layer over a nude base color... and it seems some people are just layering coat after coat of just the lace-expecting it to end up like lace.

I don't know, there are so many stupid reviews online, especially Sephora, lol.  Sometimes I really wonder about people.

I am really glad I picked up the silk color after all...at first I was waffling if I really needed it, or just the sequins color.  Julep Brant is one of my favorite smokey soft blacks and the bottle was going weird (and I don't give business to Julep any longer).  I didn't know the silk color had any shimmer in it when I bought it, but it is so lovely.  It will get a lot of use this fall/winter, that's for sure.

I really like the sophisticated look of the sequin color too.  It really does look like sequined fabric in real life, not just chunks of glitter.

Okay, Lip Tar fans--- am I missing something?

I got the OCC set today with the creme color concentrate, liner, and lip tar/brush, in the neutrals color.  (the kit in the sale section currently)

The lip tar is the color Zorah, and it is a peachy metallic color, and it is nice... but I can't figure out how to make it last more than 5-10 minutes before it just disappears.  :-(

I tried it over bare lips and over the liner in the kit, and both times it did the same.  I'm going to keep the kit because just the liner and creme color make it worth it, but I'd like to wear the lip tar longer too.

Any tips or tricks I should know?

Was the minimum for VIB always $350/year and Rouge $1000/year? I thought they were lower, but maybe I'm thinking of Ulta or ???

Yep...ordering some necessities today (boring, but essential).
Yeah, I basically got everything I needed to restock in but had been putting off for more fun stuff. Although I did pick up one of the new YSL palettes because I saw swatches online (when I was looking for something else entirely) and thought I have to have that.   I'm my own worst influence.

I don't know what happens to me.  I can be totally feeling like I have enough, I don't need anymore, I have a nice variety, I DON'T HAVE SPACE FOR IT ALL...and someone says 10x ebates and suddenly I can't think!  I am on a mission to get every sale item I even looked at for more than a second, and every bundled goodie bag suddenly becomes a 'how did I miss that MUST HAVE?' I amaze myself with how quickly I can overrule the practical side of my brain.  I don't even want to tell you all what I picked up today.  Twice.  :wassatt:
