Hi All,

I've been a lurker here for a while on this board or forum (Whatever you want to call it), as well as the Sephora active codes and VIB Rouge.  So first off thanks to all you regulars who have been supplying me with codes and updates on new products. Seriously has been a lifesaver since Sephora only sends me code emails after they are sold out even though I have been Rouge since the beginning.  FYI I don't plan on going Rouge this year at all. Really not worth it.

I totally agree. Their free gifts have gotten ridiculously poor. They are not even worth it. I get better samples in a pot when I go into the store...although I typically hate going in because of all the rude people that work there. Also thanks for all your great input on the forum.
Welcome!

First - welcome Ullasea!  I'm still kinda new too (didn't 'lurk though, which in hindsight might have helped me out LOL!). :)

Second - does anyone know if there is a website or somewhere I can find information on the promos or upcoming events at a SiJCP?  Like Kimb3rly mentioned some SiJCP specific products...do you only know by going there?

Third - for those of you who know how things kinda go around the holidays at Sephora...can you clue me in?  For example, I was in Macy's at Estee Lauder drooling over some of their eye shadows, and was going to buy and the lady said 'oh don't buy now!  Come back at the end of September when we get our holiday promos going, then you can get free gifts, or palettes that are in your colors so you don't have to make them up yourself!' Same day, a little further down the way the lady at Origin's told me the same thing.  So...is August/early September clean out time for brands and then late September and on 'new products bonanza?' LOL!

Last - I didn't post my pics of my six boxes the other day (I think I did on another thread though...) but I've been trying to find how to post in a spoiler, but really wanted to share so... :smilehappyyes:

6 ea: Algenist Genius Cream 10 day supply;  Acqua di Gio; Kat Von D make up remover wipes (2 per pk); YSL foundation in Almond; Sephora Beauty Studio cards (signed up for the 90 minute one in the Bay Area, CA...and it's free!); and Sephora perfume cards with Nirvana White. For the rest - two Tarte foundations, one Sephora purple palette, one Nars eye shadow in Strada; Bare Minerals bronzer/luminizer with brush; Kat Von D blush in Love Song; a Sephora brush set (LOVE), one Versace Yellow Diamond perfume sample, one Hourglass Veil mineral primer foil packet, one little jar Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation (100 pt), the black cosmetic bag and (not shown) Urban Decay shadow in Gravity.

Those Algenist 10 Day supplies are probably more like a whole bottle or two with how many packets you have. I got one set online a while back when they were promoting something and I think it was equal to a third of a full size if you put them in a container.

@ Before I was ever a Rouge or even a VIB, I'd look out in November/December, Sephora usually has one or two really good codes around this time. Like a bag with multiple deluxe-sized samples. Last year there were four I believe you could "choose" from and since you're like me, you'd end up getting them all :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Since you're Rouge you'll also get 20% off for a week. I'm raally unsure about the exact dates. Last year for all of December they also had an "advent calender" where every day they had a new mini perfume you could redeem for 100 pts.

IIRC, the extra 20% off shopping week is usually at the first half of November. They always trick you into buying a ton with a discount, then offer all the Black Friday deals to make you buy more.

At least this year with Rouge, I won't have to pay shipping if I only end up with one or two Black Friday specials.

Anybody know when Sephora is getting Urban Decay Naked Basics 2. I've been stalking the site for a week. I thought it was supposed to be yesterday but I can't find it.

I thought I read on Temptalia August 29 but when I went back to look I could not see it! So I am not sure if I imagined it or what.  I have been checking Ulta.com and sephora.com daily and will post if/when I see it!  Hopefully midnight tomorrow!

I know previously urban decay's website had it with free shipping if you have an account with them.

Hope that helps!

OMG ladies, a big product rave from me!

The new Nails Inc nail polish collection.  New bottle design is weighted so it doesn't tip or slide easily.  The brush is perfection!  Perfectly sized, tapered, width.  The stick is just the right length and doesn't get a huge amount of gloppy dripping from excess.  Plus the brush is so razor thin it sets down and glides so smooth during application.  I have seriously never been so impressed with a nail polish before.

I was not a big fan of the original Nails Inc formula/bottles, but these are beyond compare better.

I got the Alexa Silk (a soft black with a hint of pearly shimmer like silk), and it is supposed to look like silk.  It does, but it has the smooth glossy texture like normal, which I like, because I wasn't wanting a textured polish.  If you're familiar with Julep's Brandt color, it is like that, but with beautiful pearly shimmer.

I also got Alexa Sequins (black base with gold sequin like glitter).  I haven't put this one on yet, but in the bottle and on the brush it is to die for!

Then there is the new Super Kale base coat.  Hands down awesome!  My nails are seriously tore up from the floor up nasty from flaking and peeling (too much rough work and water last few days), and one coat of this base polish and my nails looked 100 percent perfect.  You couldn't tell anything nasty about them.  It has a soft green tint, and that gave my nails such a healthy glow too.  It has the same bottle and brush design as the polish.

Now I've got about half the kale polish collection sitting in my faves ready to buy, lol.  I'll see if I can get some decent pictures tonight to post.

Oh, and none of the polishes had any sort of strong smells either, which was nice.

@@normajean2008 I've never tried the original Nails Inc line, but I agree that the bottles didn't look very appealing. There was just something about the shape and the font that never made me want to try them. I just looked up the new line, and the bottles look much nicer! I'll see if I can try them at my Sephora sometime.

Okay, here are some pictures of the Nails Inc polishes.

Also, to add to my raves, the glitter polish performed great too for application.  Went on nice and saturated, dried fast, and doesn't leave a heavily textured chunky finish once dry.

It took me less than a minute to paint my nails with the black silk base color, and about 20 seconds to slap on the glitter..  No cleanup done--yes, it is that nice to work with. :)

The Too Face Pretty Rebel Palette $41 is back on Sephora's sale page, along with some other great buys! Buxom set and a Tarte cheek and lip set...I'm going to finish my order...just wanted to share real quick! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

@@normajean2008 I really want to also try the cashmere and lace ones!
If you try the Lace one, let us know how it is.  All I've found for reviews on the red lace is not so good.  Apparently it looks and feels chunky and not like lace?  I don't know.  I'm hoping it lands in the store soon so I can try it.

The cashmere one looks really nice.  I just got a Dior polish about the same color though, so I didn't pick that one up yet.

I have to say, I think I favor fall makeup and nail releases more than any other season!
