Opinions of the Tarte Rainforest After Dark palette? I already ordered it, because I have impulse control issues, but I would like to know your opinions. I actually ordered it from Tarte, because 20% off plus free shipping w/$40 got me a practically free lipstick.

I have it & the colors are all really nice.  I haven't actually used it yet but I have swatched it & I'm happy with everything but maybe the highlighter seems a bit too shiny/shimmery for me.  Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but I think I'm going to love the blush & eyeshadows, like I said I'm undecided about the highlight & I think the bronzer will work but I will have to see.  I hope you enjoy it!

The highlight has to be blended a lot but I got the Nars Yachiyo brush and it makes application of the highlighter a snap. These palettes are huge! The blush is .23 and a full size Tarte blush is .2!

That Aqua-whatever one was super popular on here. That's what made me think this one might be nice, too. I didn't buy that one, because I couldn't justify it. I was anti-bronzer at the time, and now I have figured out that contouring makes my nose look less Bill-Clintony. Plus, it had that blue eyeshadow, and I just knew I would never wear that.

I am such a palette ****. The stick-it-in-your-bag-and-go versatility really fits into my fantasy of how my life could be life. The reality is, I don't travel nearly that much. But the point is, I could travel with my makeup. :smilehappyyes:

Under free samples Bareminerals is now under there, its similar to the bareminerals sample I got but I got two other items with mine because it was with a 35 dollar purchase but if you just wanna try out a foundation a free sample of bareminerals aint half bad. I think it comes in two shades under free samples.

The promo codes I have used so far were DOLLYLIP for buxoum

                                                                  and LIPMINI for the sephora color changing lipstick thats a really pretty pink color

and then I used the bareminerals promo code in PERFECTION or PERFECT I forget which one but I have been pleased with all the codes I have got.I would recommend the LIPMINI for anyone who hasnt used that one yet its a small lipstick but its a nice sample color.I would definetely say buy sephora online rather than in store I bought in store for the first time and the lady who worked there seemed really irritated / miserable and it just wasnt a good experience that I had she didnt even give me any free samples online you get freebies and its just a better experience overall.It wasnt like I was bothersome she just didnt like her job and didnt wanna be there .

I just want to say, I am OBSESSED with that new Lancome Grandiose mascara. I was REALLY skeptical when I saw a picture of the brush and I in general find Lancome mascaras really overrated/not for me, but this mascara seriously gives a look like I have false eyelashes on, except less obviously fake. I usually like mascaras that just lengthen lashes a lot (my favorite is Armani Eyes to Kill STRETCH), but this one gives length, TONS OF VOLUME and separation. I never give reviews, but I had to give this one some love in case someone was thinking about it.

In other mascara news, Dior It Lash was so disappointing, worked less well than a drugstore brand.

When I saw it live it was much cooler-toned that online images had lead me to believe, so I was pretty disappointed. But that's just a personal preference, otherwise I think it is gorgeous! ^_^ /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

yeah none of the freebies seem that great I even have a 100 rewards points and I'am not that excited .I think some of the weekly specials are a lil bit better than the VIP rouge ones too.

Haha, I am never interested in the perks. I have over 6,000 rewards points that I'm mainly saving up to cash in on a major perk at some point or another, like another 1,000 pt Bite reward or 5,000 pt mini-trip or something. I didn't intend to, but they never have a 500pt perk I'm interested in!

Anyway, I REALLY like the No Foundation Foundation serum sample. It will last me amonth, easy, came with a dropper and was packaged very nicely. For a minute I thought I had even ordered something I'd forgotten about!

At my store we didn't get all the shades so I wanted some from the website, but at my store they are 1 for $22.00, 2 for $36.00 and 3 for $44.00 with the free case. Online it's not discounting them or anything, does anyone know why, or if there's a code for it to work?

I really wanted you to say that Lancôme mascara is horrible. I was going to buy it until I saw they are using Penelope Cruz as the face for it. I'm going to tell myself it's a fluke that it works so well on you and will be horrible on me.

Same here I've wanted to try them I just cant bring myself to splurge on them.

I want to try the Ambient powder and blush for a while now too! I haven't bought them yet because they are expensive and I don't have a Sephora with them available close by.

I own Diffused Heat -- and it's by far my favorite blush of all time. I've actually considered reducing my makeup stash lately -- and ridding myself of all blushes except my instain and the hourglass blush (and maybe buy one more). It stays ALL day. I love it. It took me about 8 months to decide to buy it since the price point is high. I will most likely buy another.

I just scanned the post (my German is a little rusty so forgive me if I'm wrong) and it looks like the blogger is assuming the price/release date will be $58/mid-October based on when the lighting powder palette was released. There hasn't been any official info released yet.

It looks like a super cute palette though and I'd def pick it up as a gift - I don't personally use blush. I may look into getting the powder palette in the near future though, once I work my way through my dermablend and le metier ones.

Me too, but I was in store today (spent a ton  :scared: ) and swatched all these blushes, none look dark enough for my skin...they all look powdery on me. I did get a nice nars blush, so that cushioned the sadness.\

Also why do they make in store shopping so unexciting? I just spent almost $300 and not one sample or gwp, grrrr!

I find that the only times I get samples (without asking for a specific product I want to try) in store is when I strike up a friendly conversation with whoever happens to be helping me check out and they always end up opening their drawer of goodies at the end. The makeup sample-monster in me overpowers my normal introvert whenever I shop at sephora lol!

It so is. Couple the no samples/codes with nasty testers and having to talk to sales associates and I'm online all the way. I was glad to see the Pulp Fiction UD lipstick in-store though. I had been lusting after it and seeing it in person made me go NOPE, nope, nope. Would not work with my coloring.

I need Sephora to just send me a makeup counter every few weeks with no one looking over my shoulder  and things nobody else has touched. I'll just send back what doesn't work /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
