Can one of you tell me what it means when you say something has 'fall out?'  I see that often and I can't figure out if that means the color isn't true, isn't pigmented enough, fades fast or (fill in the blank)...thanks!

Also did you see the new estee lauder VIB & VIBR only perk?

Fall out usually refers to glitter or eyeshadow not staying where it should.  For example when I wear mineral or loose eyeshadows (even with a base) I tend to have a lot of fall out (aka glitter on my cheeks).  That is how  I perceive it.  Maybe others intepretation is different.

@ Yep, eyeshadow that falls onto the face when applying it. I hate this because this do my foundation first and fallout is a pain.

My one word of advice - don't buy the Ambient Lighting powders online! Everyone I have known (including myself) has bought the wrong color at least one time and had to return it. In my case I bought the wrong color TWICE, but the happy accident was that the second time the color was actually perfect for me. Although the website described it as cool-toned, when I got to the store I forgot which color I was meant to be buying, swatched them all and ended up with Ethereal Light which is the most amazing finishing powder ever. It was supposed to buy Diffused Light, and I think that if I had, I would be very disappointed.

Making a way for people to get deluxe samples of the powders if they don't have a store nearby is a really good idea, I think. :smilehappyyes:
I second this and add that you should also purchase the blushes in store as well.  I purchased all of them online and ended up sending 2 of them back twice because there was so little pigment in them.  They were mostly just Ambient Lighting powder.

Ditto on this. I always do eyes last and fall out is a massive pain if doing a full face.

Yeah just keep in mind it's not always glitter. With the KVD Saint palette I use the lighter shade which is matte and felt I had a bunch if chalkiness all over my face.

Agreed. I much prefer to do my eyeshadow last, because putting foundation and powder underneath my eye primer helps give it that extra "ooph" but some shadows this just won't work for. Even light shadows are horribly annoying trying to brush away.

Yes! I think it is because of the amount of veining - I have Ethereal Glow which has a ton of the Ethereal Light powder in it, and it is so faint I usually have to layer it with another blush. But I also have Luminous Flush, which has very little Luminous Light powder through it, and it is a lovely coral blush that I use for a bright pop of color on my cheeks.

For those talking about the kvd palettes, I just want to add that saint was the only palette I ever bought from sephora online that broke in transit that I can remember. When I brought it back to the store to return and they asked what was wrong with it I said it broke in transit and all I see is loose powder. (I didn't even bother opening it to see how bad the damage was). The sa said "you know, that actually happened a lot here too, when we get our stock".

So there's another reason not to get them. I originally wanted saint for a travel neutral palette but what's the point if it breaks easily??

it's because they are SO soft! I mean, they are almost too soft, really. When I put my brush in the pan, powder kicks up like there is no tomorrow.

I'd heard that Ladybird wasn't as bad, that the matte shades were a bit stiffer, which was why I wanted to give it a go. Does anyone know why they were discontinued? Are they being reformulated like the Painted Love lipsticks?

She came out with new palettes his year (monarch?) and I wouldn't be surprised if she releases more as we get closer to the holidays.

Personally I think the UD palettes and shadows in general are much better. I really bought Saint to save some money versus a naked palette (since I would only use half the shades in a naked palette anyways) and I kind of regret it. Have literally used Saint twice I think and I've had it since March.

I actually use one of my Bobbi Brown palettes most. Love her shadows.

Oh that is so funny about 'fallout' hahaha I started putting my eye shadow on facing the floor with a hand mirror to prevent getting the shadow on my cheeks post-foundation!  Good to know not all eye shadows do that! I've been doing that since I began wearing makeup seriously, so I have no idea what brand did that and which ones don't - I've always faced down!!

I feel like urban decay shadow has fall out, but none of my too faced and most of my Mac don't. I'd play around on a day you aren't going anywhere and see if you can start looking up, it should make application easier.

First, I never mentioned that I finally got Flash! All of you who posted about your success in calling gave me the courage to call and ask for it! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> thanks so much!

Second, for some reason, I thought the 20% promo would be later in August so I held off during the points promo! :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> now I don't think I'll make it to November for some of my skincare staples. Does anyone remember if there are any promos coming up soon?

So I needed to buy a jar of Glamglow, and I used the perricone code and redeemed 100 points for the Sephora rouge infusion lip stain (I have a few already and I love the formula.)  This is my first online order in months, since the meteorites code came out, and they didn't put that in my order OR the perks I redeemed for.  I have my fingers crossed that I receive what I ordered this time...

Ooo that is awesome! Maybe I will have to call sometime and ask. I won't be so lucky lol but a girl can hope.

It wasn't just me!!

I agree with everyone, btw. The BEST perks and codes are products that you've really wanted to try, but haven't pulled the trigger on for one reason or the other. Those are the ones I get really excited about.

This was me and the meteorites. I'm still super happy about them! I use them every day even though I'm somewhat convinced they do nothing but smell nice and make me feel fancy.

And not those cards. For future reference companies, I never use them and I think you're cheap. You want me to believe in your $30 blush but you won't even give me enough to use twice? That makes me think you don't trust your product.

Edit: Phone typing ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I like the cards, not to try out a product, but I keep them in my car with some elf brushes. They don't take up any space and in 100+ degree heat they don't melt or get weird.

I've also never purchased a product off of a card sample, now deluxe samples have caused me to spend $$$$!
