Wow! I love the mousse.. Have any of you tried the spray?
I haven't tried the spray and it gets sort of mixed reviews on Sephora but doesn't every self-tanning product? Though majority votes are in the 4 and 5 star range. I figured, for $15 it'd be worth a try, because drugstore self-tanner is about $11 a bottle and never turns out well.

I looked at that last night and was torn because of the reviews.  I use and love the mousse, but I've never tried the spray before.  I wish the reviews were a little more detailed about how they used it.  I'd know if it were the product or the user.
I was torn at first as well, but snatched it up quick because you CANNOT beat that deal. And honestly, for $15 you won't be losing out on much if it doesn't work out.

I didn't get it mostly because it doesn't have a color guard like the mousse does, and that's one of the great parts about st. tropez

I just received a mailed ad for Sephora JcP, with an offer for a free Sephora brand mini lip gloss 0.1oz....says for BI's and postcard to be surrendered.

Anyone else get this??? Anyone else pissed that ROUGE gets NOTHING!!! EVER!!! (end rant)

I never got these offers when I was just a BI/VIB... but I also never shop at Sephora JCP stores, so maybe that's why?  I don't know...

I wish there were more offers like this for Rouge members only, for all store locations.  I know it would probably get me in store more often, vs. shopping online primarily.

I've been getting these in the mail since a SiJCP moved into the mall near me a few months ago. The last one was for a mini Benefit Stay Don't Stray.  I just never get to the mall so I haven't actually claimed one of these.

I won't spent $$$ at Sephora JCP because the money and points never show up in my account. They do get me in because of exclusive sets and they have a really good sale area.

I also shop almost exclusively online because in-store never offers samples or promotions. But I do live within a mile of a freestanding Sephora and the JCP, so I will go in and swatch.

I received one of these in the mail too. They usually mail me on of these every few months.

I just saw a pin for the Sephora Collection Luster Matte Long Wear Lip Color.  The swatches make it look like the color selection/formula is close to the Too Faced Melteds.  Has anyone tried these yet?

Anyone hear any more news on the August 3rd rouge event yet?

I'm debating on ordering the 2-pack of Clarins SPF from the Nords anniversary sale since it makes them like 25% off.... But I really only need one.

So... went to (yet another!) 9am class this morning - the one on pairing lip and cheek colors. (Fun class by the way!) They went through:

  • Lip exfoliating - everyone exfoliated with a Bite Beauty sugar scrub (smells sweet!)
  • Moisturize with a balm - everyone used a treatment balm from Fresh
  • Prime - with the Bite Beauty lip primer
  • The Color IQ'ed all of us, and they have a booklet now of lip products that will work best/most easily with each Color IQ color type. The SAs brought back selections of color matched liners and lipsticks/stains...different formulas depending on what you said your preference was.
  • They went over how to line the lips, use a lip brush to fill in, cleaning up lines with concealer (that part seemed odd to me).
  • Last they went over different blush placement, and how (not) heavy you should go depending on how bright/dominant your finished lip was.
Overall, I had a really good time (I always do). And the SAs at my local store are always so nice and awesome. They hadn't given goodie bags for a while, but to my surprise, this time they did. Even if they didn't have the goodie bag, I would still totally recommend signing up for a class if you get the chance to!

Edit: I didn't buy anything this time either. And the only thing they asked us to do was to fill out an online survey about the experience once we got home. I think the better the feedback they get, the more opportunity that particular store gets to offer more classes?

@@tgooberbutt did you go by yourself? Was it mostly groups or people by themselves? I kinda want to go to one but I don't know anyone makeup crazy enough to wake up at 8am on a Saturday to go with me and thought maybe id feel weird by myself

I went by myself. i don't know any crazy 8am makeup people either. And frankly, I'm such a make application novice that experimenting in front of a bunch of strangers might actually be more relaxing. I think pretty much everyone today was solo. In the past I've seen a few 'groups' of two, but I would say the overwhelming party size is uno!

I went to the Cheeks and Lips class as well, at the Glendale Americana store.  I thought it was odd that the reservation confirmation online and in the email said to get there 10 minutes early... yet it was 5 min after 9am (start time) until they let us in, I guess they weren't quite ready.  I ended up getting there a couple minutes before 9, and was stressing out because I thought I'd be late...turns out I wasn't. :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I had fun, but I thought some things could be improved upon.  They did the same as tgooberbutt said already at my store too.  What I didn't like is they used a certain product on the model, but that same product wasn't available at all the stations to try ourselves, unless we waited and asked specifically to use it.  Ex: They used Bite cherry lip scrub, but only the Fresh brown sugar scrub was at the stations.  I wanted to try the cherry kind, but couldn't get attention to do so in the time provided to us, so that sucked.

I did like that they had a packet of lip colors for our skin tones provided, but with how little people were at the class, I think it'd be more helpful if they had a way to provide us a copy of our category for future reference.  Out of the brands I liked on the list, I already own a large percentage of them, so I guess I'm good at picking for my skin tone after all, lol.

I felt the class was rushed when it got to the blush part, and while I liked the demonstration on different blush placements... they didn't go over how to pick a blush based on your skin tone, nor really how to match it to your lip color.  They quickly helped pick a blush based on the model (and one class participant)...but they were both olive complexions, and both got a shade of coral, so that didn't help much.

There should have been an additional skin tone chart with blush selections that'd work well for us too.  ((this point was raised as a point of feedback after the class when asked for suggestions by another person who attended.))

At the end of the class there was a short quiz with free goodies if you answered, but it wasn't structured, so whoever yelled it out first was the one who won.  It was mostly little Estee Lauder lipstick sample packs etc.

They gave a free goody bag out--IF you made a 50$ purchase.  It had several samples in it, nothing full size, and isn't worth 50$ purchase.  I got one, but I was going to spend that much anyways from the get go, so whatever.

There was no refreshments, not even water.  Not the end of the world, but most of us (I think there was like 8 people there) were starving, lol.

I ended up buying a new bottle of Formula X base coat, an UD lip liner, a Makeup Forever lip liner, Sephora pro lip brush #81, and a Sephora Pearl sheet mask.  I would have bought a blush, but the two I was after were both out of stock (of course!  They are always out of stock!)

Here is a picture of the sample bag they gave out at my store, w/purchase:

I went by myself, and I think most of the others were by themselves too, aside from one duo that came together.  I felt a little awkward, but it turned out okay.  I met some nice ladies.

Me and the girl next to me in the Sephora class this morning both tried different colors of this formula.  The other girl liked the formula, but hated the lilac color she tried... and I tried the deep plum one.  I didn't like the formula.  It was very matte, and creamy, but I felt it never really set, and just sitting there in the class it was migrating on my lips and face... even though I used a clear anti-bleed lip liner, a lip primer, and they had me use a lip liner too.  I couldn't stand it and wiped it off after 10 minutes.

They are very opaque though, and creamy, but do not really set like most mattes do.  The colors are very bright.

I agree, actually, all the class discussion prompted me to go ahead and sign up for one. I'm going to the Day to Night Smokey Eye next Saturday.

I'm pretty apprehensive because I don't do well in unaccustomed situations, and I don't have anyone who is a big makeup fan who is able to attend with me. So I definitely hope it is not a lot of bachelorette parties, or something. :unsure2:

Actually, now that I just thought of that maybe I should have done something other than smokey eyes... but I am so bad at them...
