I'm not sure of anything else that comes close to the Magnificent Metals! It is definitely the mousse-like consistency that [@]biancardi[/@] mentioned. As a side note, it doesn't play well with eyeliner on me (the "real" serum didn't, either), and given the reasons I wear shadow and liner, this is not fantabulous for me. And it wears patchy and creases like crazy on me (which it did with the serum as well). Eh. I think maybe I have the wrong kind of eyelids (oily!) for this stuff. Whoa. I'm watching _True Detective_. The raid sequence at the end of E4 is amazing. All one shot. So glad I'm watching on my laptop. I think even a tv screen would be big enough to set off some motion sickness issues. Thank you, Auntie M, for giving me your HBO Go password two years ago and never bothering to change it.

Completely off topic.  I bought Naked 3 during Chic Week.  It's sitting on my coffee table, and I'm afraid to use it.  Afraid I'm not gonna like it?  If I hate it, I'd just return it so what is up with me?  I'm a dope.

Just a thought about the stila foiled shadow- maybe try using a primer underneath? i.e. Aside from the liquid thingy? I know that too faced glitter glue works really well with the ud moondust.

I use a liquid eyeliner when I wear the metals...  Also, I use my finger to apply the shadow, as I don't really want it to be that dramatic on my lids and because I smooth it out, it doesn't get patchy and creasey - I also have oily eyelids..

Lol...I sat and stared at me Naked 3 palette for about 6 weeks before I used it for the first time.  It was just so pretty, I was afraid I would not love it as much on me as I did in the pan.  I still haven't played with it enough to find a "wow" combo on me and I have had it since early Feb.

[@]saku[/@] : [@]elizabethrose[/@] literally just posted her findings on using the Stila with different primers. Its on this same page :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
Oops! Thanks for letting me know. I'm on mobile right now. :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> chilin in the park! I wish i have the stila shadow so i can test it with too faced glitter glue. Glitter glue is very thick and sticky, a lot diff from 'normal' primers. It works really well with chunky textures like the moondust (which btw, i apply wet). Maybe applying another primer underneath in addition to the dedicated stila primer would prevent creasing.

Unfortunately, liquid liner and I do not get along.  At all.  I'm pencils only, although I can occasionally (like maybe once a month) do shadows as liner with gel liner brushes.  But liquid or gel?  No way.  And for me, there's no point in using this stuff if not to do METAL EYES.  Give me more glittery drama than a '70s disco!  And, yes, I would wear that to the office.  My eyes are hooded enough and my eyeglass prescription strong enough that I could get away with it.

I actually get enough metal when I smudge it out...I just cannot get away with the full look at my job!!

but I love the colors, so I try different ways to wear it.

Seriously debating on the summerstash. The big turn off for me is the Marc Jacobs mascara - I tried the sample of that stuff that came with the coupon code earlier this year (that included the Givenchy lipstick and the Hourglass primer) and I HATED it. It completely weighed down and clumped my lashes. Does anyone like that stuff? I see the sephora.com reviews aren't so hot for it either, so it's kind of annoying that sephora would but it in the set over a more loved mascara, but I am guessing they want more people to give it a shot. I also already have Laguna but I could at least give that sample to a friend. Could buy the SIJCP version but it lacks the gelee, right?
This is actually one of my favorite mascaras...I have naturally very curly lashes (a lush curler does nothing for me) so maybe that is why I don't have a problem with the gel texture? I don't get clumps from this either. My biggest mascara issue is product transferring to the brow bone ( my lashes are long and curl up, I get product from my lashes on my face, it's a huge problem) and I have to say that this one of the best no waterproof formulas that actually stays put and is easy to get off at the end of the day.

VIBORCHID did not work for me, either.

New one, for all Beauty Insiders:

MWUAH Deluxe sample of ultrahydrating Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in an earthy rose hue or high-shine Shiseido Lacquer in a wine shade (min. purch required, CAD$35, less for USD? - to be confirmed/anyone know?)

Shiseido is colour RS306 "Plum Wine" & Buxom is "Two-Timer"

just tried...it's $25. Changed the description above.

I'm glad you like it. It makes sense though if you have long curly lashes that you're trying to keep away from your skin.... For me it just weighed my lashes down too much... So much to the point where they were in my line of sight (which has never happened before, not even with false lashes).

This was my exact experience, I really didn't like that mascara, not even a little bit :/

Well this is one plus side to going with the SIJCP Summerstash (getting a different mascara) but I'm sad it's missing the gelee which is one of the products I'd want to try from it.
