About 60% of the UPS boxes I receive have the exact same accordion crush pattern on one end. I think it must be some part of their sorting machinery that occasionally (or frequently) eats a box. It makes me cringe, because the amount of force it must take to crush a well-packed and sealed cardboard box into an accordion shape must be enormous. It also only happens with UPS, at least for me.

I saw that a lot of people who bought the Chocolate Bar palette on HSN (QVC?) when it was on special had it arrive shattered, but I assumed this had to do more with incompetent packing than the product itself?

Wow, that's crazy!  Comparing notes, I've received less then 3 from my UPS that has been crushed like that, probably 5% for me.  

I was just thinking about the force too and wasn't able to express it as succenctly as you did - THE ACCORDION CRUSH PATTERN, are you NCI?  Yeah that kind of crushing, I was thinking like, 10 ft drop?  Nah....  When I recycle boxes, I usually use them as the bin for recycling paper and other smaller boxes, then I fold and tuck the flaps in and THROW the bunch of them from my 2nd floor spare (stand-alone recessed unit, no one is hurt) to the front of the house.  They've never looked that crushed...

Do monthly codes get released all at once at the first if the month or throughout the first few weeks? Also does March have a theme? (January was skincare, February was fragrances, ect) I just got a gift card but I'll probably wait until march because the fragrance sample bags don't interest me that much.

Codes are not released on a monthly basis.  New codes and promotions become available sometimes once or twice a week, and its difficult to predict when they will come up.  In general codes do not have a specific expiration date, they are good until Sephora runs out of stock of the promotion, that is why sometimes people will post them as active codes from this month, because they have not yet expired.  Some good codes go really fast and last less than a day.  Some last months.  

No word on whether March has a theme...typically in the past, months are not themed, but this could be something new they are trying out for 2014.  

I agree that the fragrance sample bags are not that exciting, they have a lot of the sample fragrance samples that are offered all the time as part of the 3 free samples with each order.

I received a Buxom mini gloss sample in my recent order in Mudslide, and I'm impressed. The color looks like my natural lip color with no shimmer (yay), but I like the minty/vanilla flavor and it seems pretty hydrating without being sticky. It's actually my first Buxom product, but I'm kind of confused by the brand. At first I thought it was the color cosmetics arm of BareMinerals/BareEscentuals, but it looks like those lines have color cosmetics too? What's the difference? Do they use the same formulations?

Also, as expected, I loved the Shiseido lip gloss sample. It's gorgeous!

I got the Buxom mini and I really love it too.  I like Buxom's lip creams (like Mudslide) much more than their lip polish.

Is lip polish the products with some metallic shimmer?

Turns out this is not a stain after all.  It is like regular lip gloss.  However, it is a very nice lip gloss.  Not sticky or greasy, great color pay off, hydrating.  I like the color they sent out, a medium raspberry.  I would definitely pay regular price for another color in the future.

This is one thin layer, and two layers.


the color looks similar to Clinique Black Honey I think!

Black Honey looks different on everybody since it is so sheer, but to me it doesn't look much like it.  This is more pigmented, even though 1 layer is sheer, and it is much more pink/raspberry than Black Honey.

If you can wear Black Honey, I'm sure this would look good too though.  I think this Shiseido formula is WAY better than anything by Clinique, and the price isn't bad either.

Understood. Good luck on your hunt, I'm not super pale but I always feel like everything is slightly off. I have one go to foundation I'd probably hoard it if I knew it was going out of stock.

Yes, the lip polish is more sheer and shimmery.  The lip creams don't have the shimmer and I feel like they are less sticky.  They both have the tingle, plumping effect.

Nooooooooo!!!! I just found this too and it's perfect for my paleness. Well poo! I need to hit the sephora 90 minutes away this weekend and grab some. Darn you KVD!

Seriously?!?! Ugh I use this too. Unfortunately I don't live remotely close to a Sephora. It's one of the only foundations I've tried that I like and matches my skin. Ugh.
