Anyone in the NYC area get the invitation to the Styling Brunch with Bumble and Bumble in Long Island next weekend? Anyone planning to attend? Looks fun!

Yup! It looks like a lot of fun but I don't think I'll be able to make it it's a little too far and inconvenient. Plus there's only 100 spots available, I wonder if it's already full or not

I love mine too.  I had used up the fragrance sample and ordered the full size Fresh Life and got the NARS Rouge perk (still active last week). Then I saw the next day that the rollerball was free with a code, so of course I got the rollerball with a separate small order (I got the small spray of Escada Born in Paradise).  Now I'm torn if I should exchange the full size Fresh Life for something else (because I like variety and I don't know that I need the rollerball AND a full size)? Only problem is, the full size fragrance I have my eye on isn't sold at Sephora (Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay).  Hmm, decisions decisions...

Agreed!! Go for the Jo Malone! There are free deluxe sample codes at a few places too right now. I think Neiman Marcus, Saks (or Barney's, can't remember which) and the actual Jo Malone site. If you are interested, PM me and I can search for the actual codes.

Ooh, there's a Clean 500-point perk I might have to get.  Clean Skin and Warm Cotton rollerballs and lotions.  I just can't remember whether I like those two specific scents.  I'm not a fan of Rain.  I used to love Sweet Layer and had a *huge* (like one-inch wide) rollerball when they still made that one about ten years ago.

And Fresh Life:  Do not like.  They sent me a good-sized spray sample -- 1.6ml -- in an order last month for some reason.  This hits my nose as a weirdly sour/bitter aquatic that just makes me cringe.  I love citrus, but this is like the rind, not the pulp.

I got a ton of varieties of the CLEAN line in my orders between blackfriday and now. I honestly don't like any of them! There was something off about it when it hit my skin but I feel like I should've liked all of them in theory at least!

I called yesterday to sign up and there were still spots available. I figured it was DEFINITELY worth the 500 pts for the take home items alone which makes the experience and gift card even more of an added bonus. I am going to drive there so it won't be too inconvenient for me.

I should do this too. I'm only VIB right now so I usually try to do $50 minimum orders to get free shipping but soon I will be VIBR so I will definitely cut back and just want to get the coupon code perks.

i always get these ones and the ones with the birds on it (specifically, creaseless cream "eyeshadow/liner") AND the Stila paint pot type things all confused with each other. i've always wanted one of them but never reached for them because i didn't know how to use them either/definitely would never actually use them. hahaha. I think Benefit needs an upgrade to all their packaging stuff for eyeshadow..looks way cheap and outdated (http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/category/makeup/eyes/eyeshadow) to me!

Hahaha completely understandable!  I had one of the creaseless cream eyeshadow/liner things and I used it exclusively as liner until it dried out (It was one of my very first high end makeup purchases- my mom introduced me to them when I was 17!  Who knew she created a monster.).  Benefit gave me two of the creaseless shadows and I swear I never reach for them.  They're soo clunky and big it's just difficult.  And massively insane to try to blend.  Once it's on your lid, it's on your lid.  Maybe it's too dry for my liking?  Who knows.  I've been thinking that Benefit should update their packaging too!  I know they're going for the retro/vintage look, but it's starting to look just.. behind the times.. I'm not a fan of boxes for blush- I'd never carry something that big around with me, and my makeup goes everywhere.  I do like their little eyeshadow palettes, unfortunately the one I have is just not in any of the right colors (a little too cool for my eyes I think).  And Hervana never gets touched because it's so purple on my cheeks.  Benefit, please never change your They're Real Mascara, but please update your packaging!! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Are the Benefit shadows like the Mac paint pots? Those are kind of hard and I use my ring finger and put it on as a base. I tried brushes but I have no patience. The paint pot doesn't let my shadows budge.

I've bought a couple of the Bobbi Brown cream shadows too and I also never reach to use them. I just can't get it right. I feel like they aren't very blendable. I've tried finger and brush - even bought the special cream shadow brush.... no luck.

Whenever I place an online order I make sure to add samples for my boyfriend. This time around I picked up 3 fragrance samples. If you're into clean, cottony and fresh but woody and vanilla-y scents, Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male is awesome. I wish JPG's bottles weren't so creepy (limbless bodies? Yeesh!)

I haven't ever tried a paint pot :/ I've actually tried zero Mac products!

My BF picked Le Male with the Sephora men's favorite fragrances voucher thing.  I agree- I love the scent, hate the packaging.  He wanted me to open it in the car on the drive home and unless I'm completely stupid it needed to be opened with an actual can opener.

When I was in HS I thought those body bottles were so cool and edgy but no to the scentss Ick Ick. But Le Male smells so good... We could buy it and put it in a different bottle!

YESSS. This is how I can get away with placing orders /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> it's my money but we do have very limited space! Besides, the cologne samples are awesome since it gives him variety without having to drop some $$
