I think that I had to submit proof that I was still a student last year or the year before.
Oh gosh-darn it you!!! Raises tiny fist in jealousy...
I've been guilty of worse. I think 7 years out of grad school I susbscribed to San Francisco's 'La-De-Da' season theater ticket as a student for half price and faxed in my application with my student ID. I figured no matter how bad my wind blows, I'll be guranteed of a grand style sophisticated theater show once a month and to treat a friend as well. Of course then the dot-bust became full blown and I ended up sell the tix to cover rent and food on Craig's List... and I just was plumb in no shape to enjoy a fancy theater when everyone around me was getting laid-off.
Gosh... I've tangented even further out.
Just want to put it out there that if any of the talk on Costco, Prime and Sams's Club's becoming a bee in someone's bonnet, please feel very free to speak up and we'll divest subject into new thread.
My personal take has always been that I enjoy the occasional turns here and there, it keeps things interesting and I learn a lot and it'll usually clear-off within a day or two and return to center focus. For example I would have never gone and looked up a thread on Amazone Prime but I've learned something here. Still, being respectful of intent, please let us know if it's taken too much MUT space and well course correct

Oh with that... I LOVE Costco! I'm at home with 2 elderly parents who doesn't eat much but we get all our toilet paper, paper towel and other shelf staple products there. They are also great for US PRIME CUT MEATS, gold label stuff. These are resturant quality cuts that don't normally make it to the retail grocery but since economy's slow, you'll find them occassionally at Costco. I'll spent the $60 on the 5 steaks and freeze each individually and with my two elderly folks, usually one steak is enough for all 3 of us and we feel like we just dropped $40 at a steak house. I don't much get anyting else in between because we can't finish it fast enough. I might get the 2 loaves of freash baked bread for $5 and give one loaf to the neighbor that helps with stuff from time to time. Brocalli too, I'll get the very large bag and we'll usually go thorugh that if we made an effort.
Also my vice the junk food, Rice Crispey treats, Butter-Scotch cookies, protein bars and chocolates. I'll usually eat half of it and send the other half out with the beauty care pacakges to AFG. My rationale is that I'd spend the $6 to $12 for it at a normal grocery store anyway, so I'll get the double the amount at Costco eat my fill and send the rest to our 'brother and siters' who are eating MREs and they DO dig it!!
