Yeah, I haven't received a gift card from Sephora, and I was wondering if I even would since I never receive mail from Sephora.  I honestly don't remember if I got a gift card last year through email.  I know I shopped last December though. I wonder if I don't get mail because the nearest Sephora store is over an hour away from where I live.   On my settings page online, they ask for my zip code to receive news about in store events etc for my "local Sephora."  There is no "local Sephora" anywhere remotely close to my zip code, lol.

I live 5 minutes from 2 Sephora locations and I never get physical mail. My sister, on the other hand, gets flyers all the time for free gifts in our local SiJCP. I think they have a wonky computer system.

I got the gift card and my local Sephora is almost an hour and a half away! I think this was super random because I haven't shopped at Sephora in store or online in a long time and I still got the card.

I received the gift card and it was the first piece of mail I have received from them.  I only became a BI a few months ago and have made 3-4 purchases since and that's it.  I do live near a few Sephora's but I used mine online.  I wonder if those of us that got a mailed one will also get the email?

also idk if it's already been mentioned but they have a new 500 point perk from smashbox. I'm pretty sure it comes with the same products as the try-it kit that can be purchased for $20 & was also the same kit that macys had on sale for $10 on black friday.

Got my card! Haven't left my house for 2 days but decided to toss the trash and check the mail. And there it was.... Now...what to buy (or not buy since I'm on a low (should be no) buy).

so i just got my sephora order with the suspense code & it's almost all foils! with the exception of a lancome mascara(which i already got in the blitz bags) & a scrub for MEN

I was afraid of that when they were "mystery" samples. If they were deluxe wouldn't you tout that? Getting five foils I don't get to pick does not appeal to me.

yeah...i was thinking it would be foils. someone on their facebook page asked what kind of samples are in the mystery bag, and sephora responded by posting a link to their sample selection page (the 3 free samples per order). so there.

It's blitz left overs I got the boxum and living proof in my blitz. Good thing I love them both. Now for the other 3 er 2 items not so much. Can I complain they gave me a dupe? Lol

I'm going to whine about the Fixit kits:  Seriously, stila/Sephora?  You put out this foil card sample for converitble color, and YOU DON'T BOTHER TO PUT THE SHADE NAME ON THE CARD?  What if someone tried it, loved it, but couldn't remember where they got the sample?  That will not result in a sale, marketing geniuses!  

(It turns out I have this particular in both the five-pan palette I got from Nordstrom and as a half-size deluxe 100-point sample from Sephora, but what if I had given this to someone to try, and then they wanted to buy it?  Always put shade names on your sample cards, cosmetics companies!)

Did you all see that the Consumerist picked up the Sephora banning story? (Sorry if it was already mentioned!). The forums are referenced! Maybe getting some media traction will make them take a closer look at what's going on!
