[@]tweakabell[/@] yup! His game plan was to do some shopping in Indianapolis or Chicago at Fry's Electronics but he decided to surprise my sister and I and drove up to milwaukee from Ohio!

Well, I just woke up and did some shopping!  I totally thought all the $10 deals would be out on the site, but they seem to be well-stocked.  Got the Art of Shaving kit for my hubby, the Stila Artful Eye Collection #1 for my Secret Santa, and 5 $1 shower caps that will be stocking stuffers!

Best of all.... the BLITZ code still works on my account!  Got my 3rd one... the Tinsel Twinkle.  Wheee!!!

OK, and a question for the Stila experts out there... is there a dupe for "Kitten" in the Stila Artful Eye Collection #1?  That shade was on my SS's wishlist, and either the 1st or 3rd colors look like they could be a kitten-ish shade.  Since she also mentioned that she likes neutral makeup, I thought a light neutral palette would be more appreciated than a single shadow.  And of course now I'm second-guessing myself like crazy!!!   Heeeeeelp meeeeeee.

Purity works well, I just always find myself missing a good foam. Without a nice foam my face doesn't feel clean.
I just started using African Black soap at night and I hoping purity will be an ultra gentle morning face wash... Only time will tell.

Wow that didn't last long at all

Hi gals, I'm new at this, but I came across this thread and it seems there are a few girls in the same boat as me. So, please don't mind my venting. Long story short, I just found out last week that I can NOT place any orders online at Sephora.com. I kept getting the message that my payment could not be confirmed and my order has been cancelled. I called and talked with THREE CS reps in two days and they were NO HELP at all. They kept telling me to read the terms of use. I then posted on BeautyTalk and a mod PMs me, BUT issue is still NOT solved. Her initial response after looking into my account is that I purchased multiple quantities of a product. I messaged back and said the most I ordered was THREE of one product. Is that too many? If so, then why do they place the maximum of a product allowable to be placed in the basket at TEN??? I then asked her to let me know how many is too many. She then changes her story and says that it's not the quantity of what I ordered, but that I used a promo code more than once and that I should be cautious of duplicating promo codes. So, okay, I admit I used that code four times. MY BAD!! BUT, after spending THOUSANDS of dollars, I didn't think they'd be so upset as to BAN me!! At least they could give me a warning first. Anyhow, I apologized and said I'd be wary of using a promo code more than once and asked if my ban is temporary or permanent. She responds by saying I am NOT banned and that I am welcome to shop online and in stores. SO, to test this, I placed a single order online for $25 and used ONE promo code I had NEVER used before. Guess what? CANCELLED!! Then I placed another order for $15 and did NOT use any promo coes. Guess what? CANCELLED AGAIN!!! So, I message her back and she simply says that she's sorry I can't purchase online and that I'm welcome to shop in stores!!!!!!! I mean, REALLY? Is that it??? Does she REALLY think I'll be shopping with Sephora EVER again?? Anyhow, I'm VIB Rouge who has shopped on sephora.com for many years. 1. I have NEVER made a return or an exchange. 2. I have NEVER called to complain. Basically, I order, pay, and wait for products to arrive and that's it. I either use up the products, gift them, or throw them away. There have been a time where I paid a few dollars for a drawstring bag and never got it and once where one nail polish was missing. Even then, I didn't bother to call because it was so petty. So, I'm really a trouble free customer. I know the terms of use indicates that they can revoke my membership and such (meaning they can ban me whenever they want). BUT, do I deserve to be banned just because I've used a promo code a few times? It's ironic. Sephora lists FRAUD in the terms of use. They are accusing US of fraud, but it's actually SEPHORA who's a FRAUD!!! They lure us into becoming VIB Rouge and then cut us off!! Anyhow, sorry for my ranting. I'm just SO upset. I was NOT able to purchase anything online which means I missed out on the $10 black Friday deals. BUT, a company who treats its customers so poorly REALLY does not deserve my business. My thousands can be spent elsewhere. Ulta and Nordstrom, HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!

This is so ridiculous.

I don't understand why they bother to make multi-use codes if you can't use them more than once. And what terrible customer service, especially for someone who has clearly spent a lot of $$ in their store!

I had never had to call their CS before, but I did yesterday with a question about the $15 off $50 promo. Talked to 3 different reps and got 3 different answers. Eeeek. They really need to get their **** together.

Wow this banning thing is just crazy!
You can say that again!! From what I can see, it's only VIB Rouge who are getting banned. Has anyone who's NOT Rouge get banned? The funny thing is I was on BeautyTalk and replied to a few messages from people who are also banned. Guess what? The threads magically vanished!! It's sickening that Sephora would delete threads that show their "dark" side!! >__< I'm glad I found this thread where I can openly share my experience and frustration without it magically disappearing!!!

I'm now getting some weird fraud message and I can't place an order. I can't tell if I am banned or if it is because I'm in a backwoods farm town that has no internet reception. I am not amused.. Sorry in advance to the customer service rep that I will be talking to tomorrow!
I know this happened to a lot of girls during VIBTOPIA for some reason, so you still have hope. I would cal them and also comment on the board at Sephora. Please keep us informed!! Hoping for the best.

So first it was too many small orders, then it was too many duplicate items, and now it's the promo code thing. They're making this up as they go along. Some outdated algorithm gets you pinged so they give you excuses. I'm so sorry this happened to you.

Also, this doesn't make sense either: Everyone this has happened to can still shop at the stores, just not online. How does that make any sense if they're using the "reseller" excuse?

The $10 Smashbox gloss set is back online.  And they added some more $10 sets that weren't advertised:

Tarte Oil and Eye Treatment

Clarins Toner & Makeup Remover

Eyeko Skinny mini duo

COver FX Powder

Boscia Detoxifying Duet

Caudalie Beauty from the Vine

Soap & Glory gloss

So I'm not a big sephora shopper.... I REALLY question the business acumen of choosing to ban your best customers who spen insane amounts of money. They don't have so many exclusives that make them unique and prevent people from shopping with one of their many competitors instead. Most companies roll out the red carpetfor the big spenders. Besides, you basically bought the free shipping status, similar to my paying for Amazon Prime membership. They certainly haven't banned me for using the free shipping and abusing the subscribe and save discounts.... because if I'm using them at all I'm spending money. Its nowt a huge loss for Sephora, but these stories male me even less likely to shop there (I'll just continue to get my free bday rewards).

I've never been a big sephora shopper, just like one or two orders a year, but these stories definitely make me more inclined to shop at Ulta.

i think part of the diff is, people will place multiple small orders ($1-$5) per day just to stock up on free samples or to use coupon codes that require no minimum, (ALMOSTVIB) i don't think people are as inclined to do that with something like prime - there's no incentive for a customer to place numerous small orders at one time as opposed to just one larger order.

Gosh I know I'm qualifying for rouge any day now...if I got banned from purchasing online I'd be absolutely livid! It's probably just a matter of time for me too because I've purchased multiples of things for the gals I work with for Christmas. If that time comes I'll definitely never ever shop at sephora again! Really sorry you have to deal with all that now :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
