Those 2 things completely changed my skin and I got compliments from people constantly after making the change. I get the argan on amazon (josie maran is a total ripoff, don't be fooled). I highly highly recommend this. I started giving friends little bottles of the stuff and got a bunch of them addicted. I gave some to mom and she started buying it for her friends. It's just great stuff. I recommend it for nighttime only unless you are using a really light hand though, it's not so hot under makeup. I squirt it in my shampoo and conditioner and cleanser bottles too.

Sorry if I sound like a crazy fanatical person. It's just a reflection of how much I love the stuff.
What do you use as cleanser with your clarisonic? I got one about a month ago and haven't seen any changes yet. I also have a bottle of Josie Maran that came in the Sephora favorties box. So I might give this a try. Thank you.

Does anyone have recommendations for a skin care line for someone with acne prone/oily skin? I have tried everything and my skin is just not being my friend.
Have you tried Paula's Choice? That is pretty much all I will use on my face, which is oily.

I have looked into it but it is so expensive and I would hate to spend mad money and then have it lay uselessly around my bathroom if it doesn't work out.

I'm trying to remember what I used during my "turnaround" period but I'm just not sure. Right now I use Kiehl's acai foaming cleanser that comes in a pump at night and their rare earth exfoliating cleanser that comes in a tube in the shower. They're both more expensive than I would usually go for on a daily use item, but I only have to replenish like once every 6 months or less. I cycle through samples I get in my sub boxes and random natural cleansers from etsy sellers too. I used to think it was all about the cleanser but since I got on the oil a couple years ago it doesn't seem to matter much what I use.

My clarisonic and the clarisonic brand acne cleanser saved my life!

You can request samples from Paula's Choice so you can try them out 1st.

Just wanted to add this into the order cancellation discussion for too many small orders... From the Sephora website:

Thanks for posting that.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to who Sephora restricts their promo codes to, though.  I was restricted right out the gate, and I didn't start making more frequent orders until very recently.  And my ordering activity isn't even really all that frequent compared to others.  And it certainly wasn't at the time I discovered I was restricted to only one-time use for almostvib code.

Whereas others seemed to be able to order as many $1-3 orders with that code as they wanted.

Something else that occurred to me, and maybe someone else can chime in if they've heard anything different, is I haven't read about any Flash members who aren't Rouge getting flagged.  I've only read about Rouge members getting flagged.  Maybe it's actually relevant that people getting flagged are also people who spend $1000+ on Sephora.

Cuz the more I think about it, someone ordering, say, one specific sale item for $5, and they have Flash, but aren't Rouge, that's probably not suspicious at all.  Someone else ordering that same $5 item, but then making 25 orders for that $5 item in a day, well, maybe that's cause for suspicion, cuz maybe there's an ebay business going on there.  Then add samples on top of that, and yeah, that's a problem.  This kind of shopping activity is the behavior of a business looking to make a profit, not the behavior of a regular normal customer who is just snatching up a good deal.  Or at the very least, it may have that appearance that it's a business and not a regular shopper, even if it is just a normal customer who may suffer from a severe hoarding disorder or something.

Like that Nars blush that is on sale for $10 right now, who would need 25 of those in that one specific shade?

Though a Flash member who is not Rouge could probably do this kind of suspicious activity too, but they'd probably reach Rouge status in no time anyway if they placed 25 orders a day.

I dunno, I'm just trying to make sense of why Sephora would flag customers, and flag Rouge customers in particular, and not be in the wrong for it, and this is the best I can up with right now...

I think if I ever decide to order multiples of anything, especially sale, like if I think they would make good gifts or something, I may just skip on the samples and any promo's if applicable.  I definitely wouldn't want my shopping activity to appear, even minimally, like an ebay business.

(apologies for the length, geez)

Or just place one order, and order multiples at one time. Don't place 4 or 5 orders for one single item, when you can combine them. I think that's why sephora is flagging people. They may offer free shipping, but they probably still have to pay a fee for each box shipped.

Right, if I'd be skipping on samples and promo's, there'd really be no point in breaking up the order. (edit: Sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying here, I think.   Combine order, then I can get samples/promo's on the one combined orde... I think is your point.  Rather than break it up for multiple samples and look suspicious, or no samples at all to avoid looking suspicious...   Sorry about that.)

Someone earlier in the thread suggested that Sephora probably has a ($Millions) contract with UPS, something like what Flash members have with Sephora.  Where Sephora pays a flat amount for a year for UPS to ship all their packages.  Not sure if that's true, but it seems probable for a huge company like Sephora, since I know of other smaller companies that do yearly contracts, and don't pay for each individual package.

My sephora account also got flagged for too many small orders. Sephora is amazing and a very generous company. I am a vib rouge customer and I wasn't clear on the terms and conditions regarding what's excessive when it comes to the free shipping perk. I am under review. I'm upset because I love sephora and I spoke to supervisor. I said sorry. I didn't think it was a lot of small orders. I had placed lots of medium and a couple of big orders too. I will update on status.

Can you explain what the terms and conditions are? I tried to find something on the website about it but I don't see anything. Not that I will ever be Rouge, I'm just curious, lol.

Whaaaaaaaaat? That is insane. I always hear about things like this happening but it just seems so bizarre to me. That one person who isn't allowed to place orders anymore is going to tell EVERYONE THEY KNOW.. and if they have a blog or post on a forum like MUT, that's a lot of cosmetics that won't be ordered. Jerks!

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd already sold out. Wish I had seen this yesterday but kinda glad I didn't. At the rate I use eyeshadow I will literally be using the Naked 2 palette I got last year for the rest of my life.. and yes I know you're supposed to replace old makeup but let's be honest, I'm not throwing away $50.

Have you tried Murad's acne line?  I use their acne cleanser and also the spot treatment. The spot treatment is like the most important thing in my skincare routine at this point. I've just started using the cleanser and it feels really good when I use it but it's too early to say how it's working for me. They might send you samples if you ask, not sure.

It really depends on what kind of oily and what kind of acne. Are you naturally oily (usually you can tell hereditarily, your parents and siblings have similar skin type) are you oily from dryness and your body is reacting to a lot of changes in products or harsh products? Is it due to weather and you live in a more humid climate? For acne, same thing - is it hormonal, is it more likely a reaction to products, maybe using something more breathable to help (maybe seeing if switching to water based rather than silicone based face products), are you having sensitivity problems?

Usually buying some very basic products like Cerave cleaner and moisturizer (maybe baking soda if you need a gentle exfoliator) and sticking to something simple like that for a while and adding things back in slowly and just really paying attention to what ingredients you do or don't like. Do certain things dull your skin, do certain products irritate in any way or make you redder?

TLDR: it's so situational lol but there are certain forums (i think acne.org is a great resource for finding brands/ingredients, maybe beautypedia too) that really could help figure out products that generally are well liked / loved. Obviously a dermatologist is great for all this but not always an option or necessary.

Definitely try the La Roche Posay's Effaclar range!

I've switched skincare so many times that I can't even begin to count and nothing ever had much effect, but this range really impressed me, especially the Effaclar Duo which really helped to clear up my breakouts.

However I have heard that the US and EU formulation are a bit different, I'm using the EU formulation but you can give it a go. Maybe just try out the cleansers or Duo. Hope this helps!

I decided to place another order to get a second blitz bag and it arrived today. I chose the festive cheery endurance one this time.  The only substitution was a Lancome definicils mascara in place of the Anastasia topcoat.  That was fine with me, because I mainly chose this bag to try the urban decay primer.  Wish I would have gotten the black honey like some of you ladies though!

I did another order and since I can't get another blitz bag. I got the fixit bag. There were 15 samples in it instead of 12 and a couple if substitutions. But not bad.

To the person concerned abt her Naked 2 palette getting old, pressed eyeshadow doesn't need to be replaced. Maybe after several years, but I've never had one go bad. You don't wanna hold on to a mascara for long and cream or liquid products don't last as long as powders. I've never had a pencil eyeliner go bad either, but I've had some liquids dry up.

i was at the Kiehls store yesterday and the Acai line has been discontinued :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I don't see anything about small orders? Just promos and codes. Flash and Rouge aren't promos, one is a feature in beta and the other is... well,. a waste, but not a promo? It just says they reserve the right to cancel an order with a promo code if you've already used it before

Hah, yeah, I'm not actually concerned.. I have some very old pressed shadows, but thanks for the tip!  I mostly just meant that in general I can't afford to replace things as often as some of the 'rules' say you're supposed to.
