This is not isolated to the sale. I ordered a $10 eyeliner way before the sale because I was given a free 2 day shipping code on any order at the store. It took over a week to get to me. Everything I have ordered online has taken extra processing days lately.

All the colors looked so pretty in the pan, but swatched too lightly for my tastes. Most of the reviews were good. But I was so on the fence about it anyway. I did order the Vice 2 UD palette and I'm happy with it. They're my overall fave anyway. In fact, even though I just ordered that BH Galaxy palette thanks to Ipsy, I'm trying to limit my future shadow purchases to UD only. And even then only when it has lots of new colors in it. I might make an exception for holiday sets. But this year I didn't see anything interesting. Now, I am still waiting on an order of the large Kat Von D Sinner perfume. That's my favorite nighttime scent! I ordered it on the 10th. It still says sent to warehouse. I'm hoping they aren't going to cancel my order just because they're out of that stupid Lips Tote. Ugh! I really want my perfume (and at a discount). But I'd say try out other stuff in the KVD line in stores if you can. I think her stuff is kind of hit or miss.

I have another painted love lipstick that I adore, even though it is slightly drying. I think I am just going to return the set today and see if anything catches my eye in store. If not, $60 back to me!
Actually, I'm going to take back what I said about the Spellbinding palette. I found out about her Ladybird palette last night--mattes--and I wanted to go up to Sephora in JCP and the regular store to check on it. I swatched Ladybird in JCP and hated it, but the palette sampler was really messed up with other shadows and stuff. They had 1 left for sale. But, they did not have a Spellbinding palette out for sampling at all. So I went upstairs to the regular store. Their Ladybird looked like it was in better shape, so I swatched it again to make sure the shape of the palette downstairs hadn't given me the wrong impression. It had! I won't say Ladybird is a favorite palette of mine, but I think with the mattes it would be useful. I did really LOVE the deep, eggplant-like matte purple.

Then, out of curiosity, I swatched several colors from Spellbinding, expecting them to be ok but not great. They were pretty doggone good. Not my gold standard of Urban Decay, but close enough to get my attention. So I'm wondering if they simply don't translate well from real life to video/pictures. Not colors you'd wear to a photo shoot of course, but for just wearing out, they were tempting. I asked a SA if Ladybird or Spellbinding was a limited edition. She said the True Romance Palettes, which includes Ladybird, were regular stock AND best sellers, so she couldn't imagine they would get rid of them. But the Spellbinding set is for Christmas only. I bought Spellbinding because of that.

Now, I know I want Naked 2 (still haven't got it), Naked 3, Ladybird, and the Too Faced Matte set (which impressed me when I swatched it). Some might not be drawn to the really whitish/creamy color in the TF set, but I was for some reason. Great! $200 I already know I want to spend. But, if they are all regular, non-limited edition, I can wait a while.

Btw, there was some discussion in another thread that Sephora may manufacture the products for Kat Von D. This surprised me. I found a Sephora Palette that looked great, but was just ok with the pigmentation. (Better than some of their palettes I've tried, but not as Good as the Kat Von D). Is this because of the price differences between Sephora brand and KVD brand? If so, it seems they do know how to make buttery shadows with good pigmentation after all.

Oh, and I also got to see the Hourglass powder palette everyone was stalking. I was shocked at how smooth and silky it felt! Really shocked! So I imagine it would apply like a dream. However, I'm not into shiny except on my eyes and maybe my lips--not on the face though--so it wouldn't be for me. 2 of the colors were too bronzy brown and the only 1 I could see getting any use out of at all was the middle color. Of course, that's the one that was only made for that palette. It reminded me of a powder version of High Beam but with microglitter added to it. I would have enjoyed experimenting with it out of curiosity, but not for $58 just for that one color. Oh well. Hopefully some ladies on here who got the palette can post pics. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I own the KVD Ladybird palette and it's my go-to wear to work palette. Then I swatched it in store I wasn't happy with the swatches. Some of the shades did not seem very pigmented - but the tester was gross. I brought it anyways because I saw rave reviews online and I wanted a matte palette. The pigmentation is actually good and the shadows blend well on my eyes. The shadows last hours on me. I'm picky about shadows and I really love my Ladybird palette. It's hands-down one of my top 3 palettes.

Anyone else frustrated with the VIB sale outcome right now? I placed my order on November 9 and the status today is "order sent to warehouse". So frustrating! Well... The 9th was a Saturday. Monday was a holiday. You can't count Saturday, Sunday, *or* Monday here. Today would only be the third business day. They always run behind during big sales like this, so they're not extremely behind just yet.

Thanks for letting me know. I think I'd like it and use it, except maybe that orangey brown color. But in fall, I guess I could experiment with it. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Sorry to hear that you ladies are experiencing slower-than-usual shipping! I placed my order probably at 9 or 10PM on Nov. 8, got tracking the next day, and just got my box today, so I guess I got lucky and placed my order right before their backlog really piled up. Hopefully you guys get your goodies soon!!

I understand about Saturday and Sunday, but when I called the hotline they didn't state that Monday was a holiday for fulfilling their orders, in fact, they counted monday as a business day.

I most certainly am!!

Called yesterday because the order I placed on November 7th hasn't a tracking number assigned to it yet!

Tweakabell postulated that it might be because of the Lip's tote being out of supply?  Oh I hope not... I don't even want it.  Half a dozen is more then enough and I'm probably using them to put gifts in for the ladies on my list this Christmas and be the Sephora marketing nymph via thier bags.

I am a VIB-R and I remember on 2 occassions they had given me 100 points for something or other but they didn't offer it this time.  I think too many late orders went out...  They likely offered it initially but as the wave of late orders crashed down on them, their manager probably realized that they'd be giving out 24987432984 100 point perks due this shipping debacle.

It was Heather in the post above me that mentioned it. I was wondering if it was something she had heard.

Oooph, my bad :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />...  These threads move at the speed of light!

I thought that I would never use that shade but it's become one of my favorite ones. I use Unrequited (a light-medium peachy beige color) all over my eyes and blend Wolf (the dark brown) into the crease. Then I blend Cleopatra (the orange) into the brown in the outer 1/3 crease of the eye. It adds an extra dimension and doesn't look too dramatic. I've worn that look to work and added the purple shadow to the outer 1/3 of my lid when I go elsewhere. It sounds crazy but the colors look awesome together.

Buxom 500-point perk!  This looks familiar, and I know they've been bringing some of the old 500-point perks back this week, but I'm not sure if this is a returning perk (the Summer Lovin' collection?  Really, Sephora?) or a collection that just *seems* familiar.

Quote:  Reward yourself with four minis featuring everything you need to create a glowing full-face look. Get Buxom’s top-rated volumizing mascara, an allover luminizer, a bestselling plumping lip gloss, and their new creamy-smooth bronzer.
- Buxom Lash in Blackest Black (0.2 oz)
- Divine Goddess Luminizer (0.23 oz)
- Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish in Tonya (0.07oz)
- Hot Escapes Bronzer in Tahiti (0.07 oz)
(Still waiting for something that calls my name.)

Whoever was talking about getting 5 100pts for that really put it in perspective for me about looking carefully at what comes in the 500 kits. It was such a common sense thing too I just hadn't been evaluating them that way.

I gave the CC cream to my mum so it's not in this picture, but I think it was about about 1 oz.? Pretty decent sized sample. This is my first time getting the GWP from Nordstrom so idk if this is always the fabric they use on the bag, but it definitely feels fancier than the ones from Dillards/Macy's.

I love Clinique gwp! I don't order from them unless there is a good gwp. Usually Bloomingdales and Nordstroms have the best ones.

So cute! I know want to have all my orders gift wrapped.

I got my first order from the sale and I got the Guerlain Lingerie De Peau foundation sample.  Man, I love this stuff!  It is the perfect color and coverage for me.  Of course, it's $59.   I seem to have expensive taste.  I'm wishing I would have made multiple $1 orders so I could stock up on this sample.  Hopefully Sephora will give out gift cards again in December and that will take out some of the sting.  (I hated spending $40 for UD foundation)  I need to use sparingly until I can buy it or get some more foils from the trades or from ebay.  I miss living near a Sephora so I could go in and get samples to last me til I decided to buy.
