Many women are plagued with premature hair loss due to pregnancy, hormonal changes, chemical treatments, and stress. There are many products such as Nioxin and Murad that are known to reduce excessive daily hair loss but what if you want to use something natural?
We have found the answer! If you have noticed a slight decrease in hair density or have experienced hair breakage due to a poorly executed color, perm, or relaxer this homegrown remedy will surely bring those locks back to optimum health.
Step 1: Mix 1 tbsp of each of the following teas:
- Indian Hemp: Promotes hair growth
- Nettle: Prevents hair breakage
- Rosemary: Prevents hair breakage and loss
(StyleBell Tip: You can find these teas in your local natural market)
Step 2: Add to 2-3 cups of water and bring to a boil. Boil the tea mixture until water is a deep color (usually about 10 to 15 mintues).
Step 3: Strain the tea and add 1 tsp Boric Acid. (Boric Acid is a natural preservative.) Store the mixture in the refrigerator to keep.
Step 4: When ready to use soak a cotton ball in the mixture and apply directly on your scalp daily. Keep the mixture on your scalp for about 5 – 15 minutes. Rinse the hair with the mixture and then rinse out with warm water.
Step 5: Continue with this rinse daily. You will start noticing the difference after day 4 or 5!

this was funny. Is Indian hemp easy to come by in Canada? I know hemp clothes are available on a limited basis in the US, but what about the raw hemp? I know it has practically no THC.

Hemp is readily available in Canada. In s-w Ontario, some tobacco farmers are starting to farm hemp, as tobacco use is declining.

In my city, there are a few stores that only sell hemp products.

I dont know about fixing hairloss, but I do know that when my hair was damamged, the only thing that helped was conditioner with hemp in it.

Yah, those 'trendy hemp stores' are EVERYWHERE on Vancouver Island. $230 for a pair of hemp sweat pants? - I think not!

But I will definitely will try out the tea mixture for my hair!

In March I was in the hospital with the flue and pneumonia and my hair started falling out in clumps. In a medical website I read that you can lose hair after an illness or surgery, and it takes 3-4 months after the event for your hair to grow back. Although it’s not quite 3 months I was hoping to notice a change and I haven’t yet. It is so upsetting! It would be interesting to see if this recipe works.
