New Year, New Hair Colour?

Hi guys

Im looking for some advice and suggestions.

2010 has so far been the worst year of my life. I dont want to go into too much, but job loss,still unemployed, illness and depression.

I have goals in mind for 2011 and figured I need a new mind set. I want to change my hair colour.

Im about to go in the bath so once my hairs freshly washed il post a picture. I have medium blonde hair past my shoulders with lots of layers.

Iv previously spent a year a dark red colour which I loved but I dont have the money to go to the hairdressers so this will be a home job, (iv dyed at home before)

To give you an idea of my skin tone I wear Colourstay & Age renew from Revlon in Ivory.

I like red shades but im open to looking at other colours.

Iv always loved Kate Walshes hair colour. Auburn I believe?

2010 has been the worst year of my life too!

Although I have had incredible good come out of it too.

I hope 2011 is better for you.

I think going for a new hair colour, is a great change.

I have actually been thinking the same thing....whats really weird, I want red hair! LoL

I like Kate Walshes hair in the first picture you posted. Very hot!

Have you seen Magnetic Heart's thread called "My New Haircut'? She has a nice shade of red as well.

When i mentioned I had been red for a year it was a very similar colour to Magnetics Hearts. I dont fancy going that dark this time around.

Katana, great minds think alike. Im going to look for a colour when I out tomorrow

Changing your hairdo, whether by cut or color, is sometimes all you need to reboost yourself. Of the pictures you linked i have a slight preference for the second one. I don't color my hair but mine being chestnut all i would do is add more red highlights than it already has. I would stick to red though, it brigns some light with all those dark clothes we wear, and the dark winter outside, too much dark lol !

I am taken with the second one myself, given my natural hair is a medium blonde I dont think its too much of a drastic change. Basically a little darker, with reddish undertones. I also have pale skin like she does in the pictures so I can get a rogh idea what it might look like.

Hoping to try and get a colour tomorrow, il post pictures as soon as its done. Im excited lol  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Edit- I couldnt find an exact color so I bought Live Color XXL in Rich Caramel and incase I want a bit more red I bought a few Wella Shader and Toner in Rich Mahogany.

I personally like the 2nd one better. But I would have to see how your hair is cut right now, the color you have, what your skin tone is and eye color. This plays a HUGE role in diguring out what hair color will suit you best. If you could please post a pic of you.
