So I've recently for the lack of a better term completely trashed my hair going white/platinum.  Don't get me wrong, I went into it knowing that was kinda part of the deal, lol.  I'm having my bestie chop a bunch of it off Tuesday, and have been searching high and low for styles. Plus I kind of figure new color, why not new style?  I haven't had anything done to it in far too long.

Here's my hair now:

And I'm thinking of one of these, quite a bit shorter, but like I said-time for something new.  And I always have extensions if I miss the length, haha.

(This one, but a bit shorter, probably shoulder length)

And this:

Any opinions/suggestions would be rad! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I think either cut would look great on you! However, I kind of prefer the first one.

Both are good, but I like the first one the best. The second would be healthier for the hair though..........

Thanks for the input guys.

I also like the first one best, but do agree the second would be better for my hair.  I just don't know if I'm brave enough to go that short, even with extensions lol.  I sent the picture over to my bestie (I always do this before she does my hair, and she always does it PERFECTLY) and she said it would be perfect for me, especially the front.  Though we did both agree that we would go shorter with it, around where the blonde ends on hers, maybe even another inch or so, so it will fall at or right below my collar bone.  At least that way I'll have a good three or four inches of dead, fried, hair cut off. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I LOVE these hairstyles.   I wish I had gotten this cut instead of chopping offf all my hair.  I agree with jewele though. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Even though the cut might be shorter, it will be so interesting and sexy that I doubt anyone would notice.

Please post a pic when you get your hair cut - love to see it

I'll be sure to post a picture after I get it cut and let you guys see how it turns out. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  I'm actually pretty excited to try something a little bit new, especially with the big color change.

I got my hair cut today.  It turned out hella cute.  We had to go a bit shorter because my ends were SO fried-like to the point they wouldn't even dry.  Yeah, that bad.

Here's my hair before-even wet you can tell it's super damaged:

And now:

I really like the way she did my bangs, and now I have really cute pink peekaboos. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Oh, and she used this stuff on my hair.  It does MIRACLES.  She said you can't even get it in stores yet, and being the awesome bestie she is-she gave me the bottle.  It made my ends super smooth and shiny, but not all greasy looking.

Ive been down that road MANY times before!!!! It IS possible to have healthy, crazy colored hair!!!

What brand of lightener and dye are you using? I found using a high lift blonde hair color with a 20v developer took out all my hair pigment and existing dye, without that "my hair will never dry again" damage. I also only use semi perm dyes like manic panic and jerome russell to avoid even more torture to my hair. I use argan oil on my ends to help repair split ends, and try to stick with a single color for at least 2-3 months with only virgin hair root touch ups to avoid redyeing the same hair over and over.

I had a salon dye my hair for the very first time to hopefully bright red....this was the before...super long and naturally blonde

This is what I ended up with...and this is after 3 weeks of hair breakage, fall out, conditioning treatments and many tears shed

This was the first time I dyed my own hair once i got my damage under control with the high lift blonde and manic panic. If I could do it myself why couldnt the salon?

After that I started doing my own hair, and i never had any issues with breakage or bad color again. if you like pinks I use Jerome Russell flamingo pink and its AMAZING!!!

Btw your piercings are AWESOME!!!!

I don't have the ovaries to dye my hair lol. I'm so lazy at maintaining my hair.

Thanks so much guys!  I don't think I could be happier with a shorter cut like this.

@bonnie Lol seriously, it's like you have to earn the fried hair badge to be blonde, like some sort of hazing.

@Amber Thanks, and your hair is gorgeous.  I think I've used every Manic Panic under the sun, and even mixed some to make my own (like that neon green I had on the crown of my rainbow hair).  I need to get a 20 volume for my toner-I have Wella White Lady, but as suggested by the bestie I'm going to wait a good month or so before toning it further and just deep condition/repair it.  In the mean time I do have Matrix So Silver toning shampoo to use once a week, which I hear works wonders for lightening.

As for coloring, I think aside from toning and root touch ups, I'm really satisfied with the color(s), and after all the trouble I went through damaging and fixing my damaged hair I don't think I'll dabble with anything else for a while.  Never thought I would say that haha.

I honestly do not blame you there. I was so scared I was going to end up bald I didn't touch my hair for like 5 months >.<

Ive used wella white & silver lady and matrix so silver and both are fantastic so I'm sure you'll get really great results. Your new cut really suits you

LOL yeah I went back to my normal color minus with a bit of blonde in the front and teal on the bottom on the sides and chopped off my damaged hair.  I couldnt stand the texture of the fried ends

Hahaha yeah I don't blame you.  When she was cutting...Well not even cutting yet-she hadn't got that far before she realized she couldn't even run a comb through it, and kept saying it was like wet angel hair pasta.  It was just wet, wouldn't dry, and when she would try to comb the hair would literally just snap off.  We were both really worried she may have to do more of a pixie.  I was telling her I wanted to tone my hair soon and she was like "NO!" haha.  So I guess for now I'm just going to hope that toning shampoo will eventually do the trick.

omg haha I had yellow on my roots and was like hey I'll tone it.  Yeah my hair turned purple/gray

Do any of you know if it's ok to use the So Silver toner on hair that has product in it?  I don't want to use it tonight if it's not even going to take lol.

Ive always had better results doing any sort of color treatment on freshly shampooed hair because it opens up the cuticle. If you have anything coating the hair it wont absorb evenly
