I've used the Oil Treatment for my hair to control frizz, it worked. . . (it is really curly/wavy) but I heard that it is best used on straight hair? Then I tried the Intense Curl Cream and it didn't work at all. I'm wondering what exactly does my hair really need. . .

Hydration or Conditioning.

I'm not a hair specialist lol but I would say that for frizz you would need more of both. You can find conditioners and shampoos that specialize in hydration. There are plenty out there.

Try this. My friends use it and they say that it works very well . . . Frizz Ease Smooth by John Frieda.

you need hydration for sure, and conditioning after. you could use a heat protectant as they're usually loaded with silicon.

The oil is good for any type of hair, but it's difficult to control the amount needed to condition the hair and nourish it without making it too heavy or look greasy.
