CaraMia - (Are you really in Cuba?) Sorry that the Meow PP made you itch. I wished I had bought full sizes of Flawless Feline, but you're right - I couldn't bring myself to spend over $50 on foundation alone (when I need 2 shades to mix), so I went with the Purrfect Puss. No complaints, but still waiting/hoping Meow will sell smaller sizes for less $ so I can get the Flawless Feline. Good luck with the 3-Angora! Note that it is "pure yellow". No beige, no pink, peach... nothing else in there but yellow.

The more I read about Lumiere FF the more I know I have to try this!

Same thing is happening to me. What colors do you usually wear in Lumiere FF? What colors will you change to? (Maybe I can take a tip from you :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> )

Gina - Hyeyeon was a perfect color for me (in winter/ pre-tan) but I found it was a bit too 'heavy' for my comfort, and made my pores and fine lines show up more than other foundations. Maybe I was too heavyhanded with the Concealer formula & wasn't applying correctly...Anyway, at the time my skin was liking LumiereVV & Meow much better. <--more flattering on my pores and lines.

I may try Monave again in summer and see if they have a good "tan" color. (Lumiere colors aren't working so good for me right now)

Ruby-

I may end up being a Lumiere FF forever. I have dry skin and I tried VV today (see B/A sticky) and it took a lot more to get coverage. I swear it is because I have nothing for the stuff to cling to. It seems to stay above skin rather than melting in like FF does. It also seems more matte on me because of this. I used a lot more glow products to get a look I liked seeing sun kissed has a bit of glow and so does baby face. As you know, I am not above trying out new things so I would definitely try Meow if they had a close color match- Lilita's mix sounds good for me.

Gina-

I know you didn't ask me but what I didn't like about Monave is that the foundation felt really dry on my skin and it emphasized tiny lines and pores on me. The staying power was awsome but I don't really have any issue with MMU not staying because my skin is dry. I love some other products and will always buy from them because of this.

Lilita-

I got some med-dark Warm that seems to be identical in color to the Lauress Summer Tan. I think mixing L-M golden and M-D (or Medium) Warm may work for my summer color. Eventually I could see just using the Med. Warm.

I admire your bravado and spirit!!!! :rockwoot: I would never have thought of requesting a new color on my own! I think the problem with Chartreux (judging by all your posts) is that it is more peach than yellow. What we want is a color that is more yellow than peach. Which is why I did 60/40 N Angora/F Persian. (60/40 N Angora/N Persian works for me too. But I think you ladies are less peach than me, right?)

Or we could go for something like 70/30 Angora/Persian? So that it's essentially a "yellow shade" but not totally pure yellow. Kinda like Abyssinian is yellow but has a touch of beige or something else mixed in there.

Hoozey, THANKS so much for sharing this! (Memo to self: add Summer Tan to Lauress cart) Lumiere Med Warm is too dark for me right now but fingers crossed that it will work for me later. I am also considering Med Beige which looks to be very very close to Med Warm.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but are the colors the same across Lumiere's VV and FF formulas?

how much is international postage ?

Im interested in this line due to the size of the jar, despite the daft names!

Yes, they are very very close in color. I mix a little of the Med. Warm in with the l-m gold and get a good intermediate color for now. I apply L-M G then a thin layer of the Med. Warm- almost like a bronzer.

Periwinkle Sky has posted quite a while ago that she had this same problem with Monave, that it emphasized fine lines and pores on her face. Instead of applying with a kabuki, she applied Monave with a big fluffy powder brush. I have applied with a powder brush and a flat top brush. I have not had this effect, where I noticed it emphasized lines, the foundation just looked good. I think I also tried application with a flocked sponge, but it did not look very good.

Did the problem occur with the regular foundation or the concealor foundation or both? I have sampled only the regular foundation.

Hoozey, I just noticed you said it felt dry on your skin, so I guess you would not be interested. Sounds like Lumiere FF is your HG.

Gina-

I do use Monave as concealer on my spotty forehead sometimes because that isn't an area where I am completely parched. It works fantastic for that part.

Lilita, thank you so much for confirming your "recipes". What are the depths for the 70/30 Angora/Persion? Same as the 60/40? You may be the "peachiest" of us, but I don't know that there would really be that much difference between the 60/40 and the 70/30-what do you think? We want to appeal to the masses here and get the best color for all! Anyone else care to chime in on this? Hoozey, Periwinkle, Pebo? Other "yellow" ladies? Once I post the request at Meow it would help if we got alot of supportive "me toos". You can get to the Meow Forum from their website, as I don't know the link off the top of my head.

Hoozey, it really does sound to me that Lumiere FF is your HG. You keep coming back to that and it looks so AWESOME on you. I think you should quit sampling and save yourself some $ and aggravation, unless of course you want in on our "LYNX" request at Meow! Like Lilita, I think you look good in anything, but you know what feels best on your face.

OK Ladies, I just posted the request for a "new breed" over on the Meow Delphi Forum. I hope I worded it well enough and that it works in the future for us! I am wearing my Meow again today and really loving it (thank you Lilita!) I just ordered full sizes of the 60/40 mix as I think this could be "the one" for me! I love how light and airy it feels (like nothing), yet the coverage is wonderful and I get no shine or breakthrough all day long. I went a little nuts and ordered the Cat Glow, some bronzer and more blush samples. My CC is smoking today! And after all of this I really am DONE!!!!

hey ruby!

i do believe lilita's mix is 60 naughty angora and 40 frisky persian. if they decided to make the 'lynx mix'..they could start with that base formula, and tweak it as needed. we could all test it, and give them feedback. i think they could really tap a 'specific color market' with this color blend.

i saw that meow is moving, and possibly in transition..but like you said, "can't hurt to ask" ! if they're busy, we can just 'gently remind them'...after they get settled in their new facility. ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i've not tried their ff formula, but it's making me wanna try it, hearing your raves. i'm assuming it's more coverage than the perfect and pampered forumulas.

either way, gotta run to the chiro..but will check back and see if you've posted on meow, and will be sure to jump on the bandwagon! go ruby! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

onward!

Gah! I'm sorry ladies I am of no help- I'm still waiting for my Meow samples! I will take pics when I get them. I hope I'm a Chartreux so I don't need to mix and match.

As for J.Lynne, I conclude that I'm an Ivory Light 1.9, not 2.5 as I first thought.

Pebo, I am really liking the FF, haven't tried the other 2 as I generally like a little more coverage. What do you think of the Monave?

Periwinkle, I hope Chartreux works for you, but truthfully it was a little too peach for me. If you ordered some Angora or Abyssinian maybe you could tweak if necessary. I'm a 1.5 in JL, so we are very close. Let us know how you like Meow when you get it.

Ruby,

You know I am going to have to try Meow. Now that it's down to a couple of colors with the "Lynx" mix. I may try all three formulas too. I hate to not try something and then end up loving it and be missing out. I'd really like to try Meow for the feel alone.

I figured that even if they honor our request for "Lynx" it's going to be a long wait and I am totally in love w/Meow after wearing it for 2 days! I just ordered full sizes of N Angora and F Persian, the Cat Glow, Sizzle Bronzer and some more blush samples. Their samples are quite generous and they let you order more than one of the same color at a time. Go for it Hoozey, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If anyone else wants to go over to their Delphi forum and post support for the Lynx it would be much appreciated!

Hey ladies

I was over at the Meow forum and an Asian lady said she can wear Naughty Angora on it's own. I was told that even though it's YELLOW, it's not like ultrabright yellow, more creamy yellow. Pebo and Ruby - did you try Angora on its own? I'm curious what you think.

(Personally I think I prefer a bit of peach in the mix, but maybe it's not necessary?)

ruby: great job on the post at meow! i put in my .02, and hope they'll consider it.

hoozey: meow is definitely worth a try..esp the 'lynx mix' ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

you know, i had a question re: lumiere's ff formula. i tried it today in l/m golden and it was too light. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> i actually loved the l/m golden vv formula, and was just about ready to induct it into my "hg hall of fame" after wearing it just one day...BUT..it was the itchiness and bumpies afterwards. boohoo! i'm not giving on it yet, though.

is ff l/m golden a tad light for you when you are "not" tan? hmm..i noticed you mentioned adding l/m and med warm to your lm golden..and lilita talking about l/m beige. if i'm relegated to the ff formula, i'm wondering if i'm better off getting the med golden, or trying to add some other warms or beiges with it? sheesh, the 'mixing thing' again...oui!

ruby: don't you use lumiere's ff, too? what color did you use?

lilita: i think you hit the 'nail on the head'....we want a meow mix that's YELLOW w/ a LITTLE BIT OF PEACH. chatreux is 'peach' with a 'little bit of yellow'. a no go for me. i guess i could try adding some angora to it, but i like the 'bright perkiness' of your blend better. btw, 'nope', haven't tried just the angora, i think it would look too flat, light, jaundicey (is that a word?) on me. although, if i can find some time and 'available face space' i may just try it one day... ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

monave hyeyeon update: tried it on half my face today...and only left it on for about 1/2 an hour w/o full eye makeup etc..(disclaimer) but, i think it's too orangey on me. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> :( and a bit cakey. i've heard all the warnings, and i tried to apply with a light hand, and spritzing..but the lumiere ff looked alot better (eventhough, it was too light). i'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong, or if i need to wait longer for it to meld into my skin. either way, i'm going to try again, but was a bit bummed to see it wasn't quite perfect on the first go round.

lauress: just got my samples today. yep, periwinkle..i , too was impressed with the shrink wrap packaging, and brochure etc.. very professional! i've yet to try any of the color (no 'available face' to test it on! lol) but tomorrow may be the day. at first glance, i can see the 'pinkishness' in the radiant gold that you were all talking about. the yellows look a bit "too yellow"..but i'll have to try it on my face..

as of now, it looks like it's the lynx mix..and i'm waiting on luminesse samples of lm golden. kim says for those that breakout w/ bumpies from vv...luminesse is a better option b/c it has less tit diox, and no mag stearate. (periwinkle..you may wanna check it out, if you're still interested in lumiere! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> )

well, w/ meow in transition, it looks like samples or even full jars may be a bit delayed. why is it when you "can't have something"...YOU WANT IT EVEN MORE???!!

ttyl

i cant wait for your review! i like yours becuse you have dry skin while the majority of people on here seem to have oily troubled skin..so i can relate to you better.

I wore mine today even thought I think it is too light.I ordered the next darkest color to mix.I hope it helps.

I am going to mix Chausie sleek 1 very light with Chuasie Frisky 2 light.

pebo -

So curiosity got the better of me, and tonight I decided to do a half-face test with Naughty Angora. Y'know, it didn't look bad at all. It looks so yellow in the jar and on my wrist that I thought I'd look jaundicey (lol) but surprise surprise, I didn't. I was staring long and hard at my face turning one cheek then another and I am pretty sure it could work on it's own. In fact think it MAY work better on you (and Ruby, Hoozey, Periwinkle) than on me if you ladies have less peach/tan than I do.

Disclaimer: the yellowy-orangey lighting in my bathroom could have distorted the results of this experiment. I'll try again in sunlight tomorrow morning. Who knows, maybe you ladies don't need to mix! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I still like Lynx though :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Goodmorning Ladies!

Lilita I saw that post at the Meow forum too about wearing straight N. Angora and immediately thought that it would like like you were ill or something! But I am going to try it too, just for the heck of it. I am interested that you said it actually looked good! I have a full size jar coming so have lots to play with. Let us know what you think when you do the sunlight test too. I wonder what the Meow ladies will do w/our request, I hope they give it some serious consideration.

Pebo, thanks for the support re: the post at Meow. Let's keep our fingers crossed. I am sorry that you are having trouble w/Lumiere FF. I wear the L-M Golden in both that and VV. The FF matches me pretty well, but my skin is still winter pale. Maybe you could add a touch of M golden to make it a little darker? Sorry I'm not much help on that. RE: Monave, maybe the Hyeyeon is too light for you? That is another one that matches me very well as it's quite yellow. Maybe you need the next darker shade of that. Have you tried Teporah (I know Periwinkle uses that) or Mirabella or even Saturina? I haven't used any of those colors, but do know that they are a bit darker than Hyeyeon. You could also post at the Monave Forum for color help/tweaking. As far as application goes, it is much heavier than Meow and you need very little. Also I have read that that is one brand that you shouldn't use wet/damp. Try it again dry, maybe you'll like the results better. Good luck testing your Lauress. I think the yellows are quite yellow too, something along the lines of Meow's Aby line, depending on which ones we are talking about. The L-M Luminesse might work for you as it's a bit darker than the FF and VV formulas. I really hope that you find something that works. I know what you mean about that "instant gratification" thing-I tell my girls that patience is a virtue, but I want it RIGHT NOW!!!!

Farris2-Goodluck w/your mixing too-are you liking the Meow, other than getting your color right? I am so glad I tried it!
