Day Six over and done! And that included a trip to Ulta (I needed to pick up some bag-stuffers for guests at my Benefit party tomorrow night). There were things I was specifically looking for, but since none of them were in, I squeaked out. YAY!

My "in the mail" sticky note on my desktop has only two things on it now! Say what!

In other news, I got my Youngblood order from Hautelook today. I like the kit a lot, and the pressed mineral blush I got is super pretty but it is tiny! only 3 g. Definitely will not be a repurchase.

3 days since my last purchase, and the desire to buy is nonexistent! I even browsed through the cosmetics when I was at Target this morning, and I felt nothing. NOTHING!

Made it through Day Seven! The Benefit party went really well, and I only wound up with ONE extra bottle of foundation to go into the traveling box (There were two guests who I think grabbed themselves a couple of bottles in colors that didn't match them, as well as raided the extra goodie bags and took out the extra mascara/nail polish/POREfessional....pretty ghetto, but whatever.) Right now I'm taking a break from organizing my stash....weird, some of the things that I have as duplicates. I will say this--I don't think I'm gonna need to buy skincare products for a long-ass time. Heck, I'm on my second bag of trash already (plastic carrier bags, not full-size garbage bags).

hahahhaha, people taking extras of stuff, thats hilarious. I have the same skincare issue lol, which is the main reason I need to cancel ALL subs. Maybe I'll go back to lovewithfood since I'll have cut out so much in beauty subs.

Oh, people...seriously lol. 

I like the idea of lovewithfood. I'm giving Sindulge a month or two, but I'll probably just end up cancelling that as well, since I have enough crap (skincare especially) to last me for 3 lifetimes. Plus, at least with lovewithfood, el hubs would get somethin' out of it too!

After going without any cosmetics for the past 10 days, it really just strengthened my resolve to stay on my no buy. I came home and looked at my stash and was just overwhelmed with it all!

I'm looking forward to re-organizing it after the move so it flows better for usage but I am pretty much ok with no new stuff until after I get back from the cruise. I thought I was going to have a tougher time with this.

Yay! Everyone's doing pretty well. 

I'm ending my no-buy on April 25, and then I'm going to go on a low buy. I'm going to give myself a certain amount of money I can spend each money that's based off of the products that I've completed.

Day Eight is Eastbound and DOWN. Funny, I wound up not even going to HUNGER GAMES (timing didn't work out for me), and although it was Dollar Day at my local Goodwills, I didn't even feel tempted to go in and look around--nor did I have any desire to go to Sally or Ulta or my usual haunts. This...is a good thing.

Successfully avoided the Bestey Johnson sample sales and didn't buy anything this week! Woo even though it was my birthday! I splurged on 2 cab rides (my other no buy... I really should take the subway more, it's so convenient)

I'll admit, a day ago I was super stressed out about a group assignment that I have due soon (holy crap I hate forced group assignments) and it took every last bit of willpower to not drive to CVS and go insane. So, I've decided I want to start a project pan that exclusively focuses on makeup. I think the skincare stuff and samples are under control now that I've cancelled the vast majority of my subs, so the focus needs to be put on makeup. 

I'm thinkin' maybe a project 25 pan would be good just because I have SO much stuff.

Day 10 is over and done. Even though my co-worker/enabler gave me some money for driving her home today and told me to go get some of the new Sinful Colors collection. LOL

Funny, I'm actually proud of making it this far--even though it's only like a week and a half. Baby steps. Baby steps.
