I had the same thing happen with me. My welcome box came in a flash, but this monthly box seems to be taking a while. My box was like that, stuck in federal way, wa for a while, then today it finally updated and its in springfield, ma.

Not sure why it is going a totally different route than last time but oh well.

There may have been some error with the shipping service and how boxes were sorted. We ladies are depending on another company to follow through with the delivery part. Also, with all the May Day anarchy up here in WA, maybe some issues arose. A lot of nuttos out, targeting businesses and disrupting life for the rest of us that day.

Good morning everyone :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />  First time posting and unfortunately it is with a problem (I think).  I signed up for Julep last month and received my package very quickly: it shipped April 17th and I received it April 20th.

This month it seems to have stopped at a different facility in WA and has remained in some kind of limbo there since April 29th.   Has anyone seen this happen where their tracking has not updated before?  I'm going to send them an email if I don't receive anything in the mail today but I was just curious.

It is likely that this month if you had one of the boxes that included the foot soak or pedi prep, that it was too heavy to go first class so it had to go "package services" (parcel post) which takes much longer and is used for heavier packages. Typically Julep uses first class, which is pretty dang fast but if it goes package services expect a little bit of a wait.

They have a cinco de mayo mystery box. Code cinco. I caved. I better go check my brushes now.

I had it up, and if it had my CC info saved I would've ordered it. But I'm too lazy to enter it right now, if i is still available on saturday I probably will get it then. I just spent a lot of money at the dentist though and should be trying to save...hahaha me and saving...never works out.

I got mine today. The Bombshell polishes are all good formula and brushes, but Nessa has the ****** brush. Going to email them.

Although I think the formula itself is fine. It's much more opaque than I imagined. Im in love!

Went back and forth with Julep through e-mail last night.  The rep is saying that they see where I changed from American Beauty to Classic with a Twist. He said I then went back in the next day and put it back to American Beauty.  I didn't do that.  I didn't so much as log on to their site after making my choice.  Unless there is a really boring hacker out there I don't see how the system would show this?

So I called today to cancel and after a 10 minute hold was forced to leave a voicemail.  The recording said that I would get an e-mail confirmation when my cancellation was requested.  Grrr.

I am also waiting on instructions for returning my box.  What a pain.

They had an issue with their website around the 20th which they sent out this email:

Dear Julep Maven,
We’re currently experiencing some technical issues.  We’re aware of the problem and are currently working on a resolution.

Now for the good news…all May Maven box requests are being saved and will be processed.  No additional action is required from you

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

As a reminder, you have until 11:59pm on April 24thto submit your May Maven box requests.

Warmest regards,

The Julep Maven Team
It's highly possible that your order was manually changed by them during that time. I don't know the exact dates you changed the order and they're claiming you went back and changed it but it was on or before the 20th it's possible that their system glitch did it.

Glad to hear! the bombshell box should be **hopefully** waiting for me when I get home.

Shockingly, I'm not even tempted by the mystery box this month.
Me either!! No thanks Julep. Got other more interesting things to buy.

I used the online Contact Us form yesterday to report the issue with the brush in my bottle of Kylie - and just got a response via email - less than 24 hours later, so I'm not unhappy (so far).  What they said (pasted below)  is pretty much what MakeupGalore posted above.

I imagine it may take a bit to receive the replacement brush since there are also a lot of similar complaints on their Facebook wall.

Quote: Hi Valerie,
Thank you for reaching out to us. We sincerely apologize for the defective polish brush that arrived in this month’s Maven order. We are working as hard as possible to correct this issue, and will be sending replacements. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as that package has shipped. Please allow some time for the replacement to be shipped, to guarantee the brush quality.Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with. Until then, have a wonderful day!

tempted to get a cinco de mayo box. but after the highly disappointing surprise box in april, part of me would rather save $20 and use it on a glossybox in may. knowing my luck, this box would probably have really good colors though.

My April mystery box was a dud but my two before that were amazing so I went ahead and bought a Cinco de Mayo box and it already shipped!

ugh the brush on my Fina nail polish is frayed too. I guess I will email them.. what a hassle

Hey guys, I'm relatively new to Julep, but I'm a little bummed about my box this month. I unwrapped one of my polishes, and about a third of the polished had leaked out and the brush was all munched. I know Birchbox has amazing customer service, but is Julep's any good? Is calling to complain going to do me any good?

I would email them. They seem to be pretty responsive and caring about ensuring the quality of their products.

But someone recently had a bad phone call experience, so it's probably better to email.
