yes, but my hair is so very fine, it's a constant balancing act---too much or too little product.

Teasing seems to always work for volume.. problem is that it's really bad for your hair.

Every hair style relies on a GREAT cut. My hair was always limp and blah waves. Got a new stylist....no more blahs. She put a lot more intensive layering in and my hair looks great even if I let it air dry.

Somebody may have already said this, so excuse me if they did. I didn't read all the replies. You'll want to use wax. I ussually rub a little all through my hair, or use some texturizing spray, blow dry it, and then use more to "piece it" which is rubbing a little wax between your fingers and pulling certain chunks of your hair away. Thats what creates the textured effect. Here's what I use:

I still think back combing is the way to go for volume.. Those hairstyles are hot. Especially Lindsay's fringe. I've given up trying to get mine to look like that, it just does what it wants and flops all over. Ugh

I have a gigantic and I mean gigantic round brush that leaves my hair shiny and soft. My hair is extrememly unmanageable for many stylists so I had to figure it out for myself and people don't believe me when I tell them my hair is natuarally curl. I flat ironed it for the longest time but then went back to round brushing because it just looks so much better with "umph" I guess.

I got my current and most favorite brush at Ulta -- but when I looked it up they don't have it on the website. So the link below takes you to the maker. I hope that helps.

okay when you ahve the flat hair add a bit of hair product like the sreum she mentioned and work it in all of your hair with your palms, let it "set" but not completely dry then brush and blow dry it upside down/leaning over. comb it over to make the sideswet part like the lady on that 1 pic. i'm priity sure all that would work and wouldn't even take 20 minutes.

In all honesty I think that style can only be achieved with hair extensions!

Although teasing and hairspray may assist.

Have you tried blow drying your hair upside down to create extra volume?
