Those are Kate's natural waves and curls, must be nice, eh?

I totally do the little "bun" thing. I tried it when I was younger because I had such an impossible time getting it to scrunch and such. I also found letting my mother french braid it gave it a cool effect, but the little buns I could do on my own...and much quicker.

I just discovered a week ago how to create that look:

1 wash your hair

2 don't blow dry

3 work in a good amount of flake free mouse

4 spray in Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray (optional)

5 take pieces and tightly twist them into small buns all over your head and secure them with a bobby pin (make sure they are small pieces, 5-6 "bun" minimum). Yes, you make look a bit ridiculous for the time being... :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

6 let airdry or blowdry

7 spritz in some light hairspray every once in a while during drying time

8 when it's all dry, carefully pull out the pins and unravel the "buns"

9 tousle and "scrunch" your hair and run some mousse (and BB surf spray) through

10 finish it with hairspray

For best results, do steps 1-8 the night before, then take it out in the morning. Works for me!

The attached photo is a result of a "rushed" job. Think of how much more it stands out when it's done with more time or overnight! The 2nd is a photo of my hair when it is au nautural (straight).

thanx for the tips

That's how my hair looks if I just let it airdry. And when it gets to the almost dry stage I spritz it with sea salt spray and scrunch .
