I got my hair cut back in April, and the guy that cut my hair basically bush whacked it. I took in a picture of Victoria Beckham with a short, choppy haircut. I walked out with a mullet in the making. Since then my hair has grown a little, but I'm wanting to get it quite a bit long.. Are there any hair growth supplements that work or home remedies to help hair grow?

I don't know of any way to get your hair to grow any faster. You can make it appear longer with hair extentions.  Whether they be clip in or bonded in.  Other than that, my hairdresser told me hair grows 1/4"-1/2" per month.

That's what I was afraid of. I just didn't know if any of the supplements help it grow any or if they were just rip-offs. Boo. Thanks though!

I love your hairdresser. Too many will lie and say otherwise.

Hair does grow faster during the summer and slower in the winter but the fact remains that it won't grow any faster with vitamins, supplements or products. At most, during the summer, the hair will grow up to 1/2" per month and that's if you hair grows fast to begin with.

I also have to agree the best route to go is with extensions.

Hair care products are rapidly growing markets, where people are more conscious and aware of their hair styles, hair length, hair health, etc., quantities of products flooded the market claiming to be the best. Sebastian hair care products are tested and tried to give experts in each type of hair best hair care products. Hair Care Products in a product that does not fit, you can make a mess of your beautiful locks and "bad hair day"; is something that everyone is afraid. If you feel your hair is beautiful, soft and silky, of course, you are in a good mood and can do wonders for your self-confidence.

A good hair growth supplement would have vitamins that your body needs.

I bought some hair growth pills from gnc for just under $10 and they worked fantastic. My hair grew about two inches longer in just that month.

However a great hair growth supplement is Hairfinity...I heard ALOTTTT of awesome reviews on it. http://www.hairfinity.com/

one word: VIVISCAL! apparently all the models are using it and it's an absolute miracle worker. a bit pricey though, like $40 a month. and you HAVE to use it for like 6 months to see a big difference but i've heard of people seeing a big difference after about 3 months. It makes your hair stronger and grow much faster, fills out balding areas as well. <3TZ

I went from a short asymmetrical bob (longest hair came to the bottom of my ears) to hair in the middle of my back in about a year and a half. Your biggest hurdle will be fighting breakage.

What I did was start to baby my hair like it was an egg- I switched my pillow cases to silk (or would just sleep with a silk scarf around my head...that option was cheaper), tried limiting tying my hair back with hair ties, used a wide tooth comb when it was wet...blah blah blah. All the things we know we probably should do but don't. The hardest part was once it got longer, I stopped washing my hair everyday. i have a natural curl/wave to my hair and the flat iron and blow dryer everyday were killing my hair. I noticed after about a month my hair felt softer and didn't look as dry as before.

I ate healthier and I also began taking vitamins everyday. The GNC Ultra Megavitamin is what I chose after reading countless articles and tips and stuff. It's been so long...I can't exactly remember what made me choose it..... But I see my parents about once or twice a week and sometimes they'd ask if my hair hit a growth spurt which confirmed what I thought I had seen but I thought I was crazy. It seems my hair (and body) were missing some vitamins and I now drink a TON of water. Bonus: my nails and skin also now look awesome. Downside: The pill smells weird and you need to eat sometime around taking it or else it makes your stomach hurt.

Some women find they get similar results with prenatal vitamins- healthier hair, nails and skin. I have another inch or two for my goal--should accomplish that by the end of the year. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Good Luck!!

PS: And don't skip trims...go every 6-8 weeks.

Thicker Hair Shampoos and protein thickeners add volume to thin and hard to manage hair. Some of these products give you thicker hair by using products to increase hair growth. Vitamins, Proteins, Moisture, Natural Stimulants! These are all good hair products for thinning hair. Placing 1 or 2 drops of safflower oil in your palms and rub them together.

my main problem was playing with my hair all the time it would give me split ends in a few weeks, and if I am going to be in the sun all day now I tie it up and wear a hat to protect it. Also quiality shampoo's and conditioners with almond oil followed by a good leave in oil like morrocan keep my hair hydrated all day.
