Mod notice: Just a heads up that this is an old thread that was brought back to life.  Some of the information in this thread may still be helpful, but keep in mind that many of the posts and poster opinions may be outdated!

How much are 18 inch hair extensions?

Between 30-200 dollars depending on type, quality, color and where you buy them.

Wefted extentions are generally less expensive and are what I like to use personally. They are more versatile imho because you can use them for bonded, sew-in or fusion type extentions(by cutting off the wefts). Happy hunting!

it depends if you want human or synthetic hair and what kind do you want, the clip in, or the glue in kind, you can also buy a big weft of hair and just apply the clips to them or glue the whole thing to your hair.

I buy mine off ebay they're not that bad, they last me about 5 months it all depends on how you good you take care of them, and how much you wear them.

and I know this seller on ebay I think they're human clip in extensions cost about 50$

I was going to get them done at Aveda in Tampa and they told me for 21" it was almost $1K!!!!

yeah

I think you should just try getting doing them yourself

It's not that hard well at least for me it's not lol

I had my sister put glue in extensions for me

and she's only 16 lol

but thats in my opinion

and clip in extensions are even easier you just clip them in your hair and take them out whenever you want

it depends..def get human hair extensions. ive tried the ones from sallys they are around 80 or 90 dollars they were okay but really thin in my opinion. i just ordered some from headkandy and i love them..they are around 165ish though. but def worth it

You can order them offline at different beauty pages for around $150.00 or more. I have seen on amazon.com some that have run as low as $89.99 and still were 100% human hair. I don't know what color you want them so you will have to google it.

Lol.

My hairdresser offered to do mine for cost of the hair, which would have been around $300. Weave not glue. but I was worried about how my fine, thin hair would handle the extra weight. Have been warned by friends who have had extensions that it did damage their hair to an extent, and took their hair a little time to recover after they were removed. Would love to get it done simply because my hair doesn't grow very long, but at the same time, the maintenance could get a bit much for me, since I don't do much at all to my hair really normally being that it's so naturally straight.

The style is baked in so you won't need to do a ton of fussing to get them to look nice. However, you can only use heat styling tools with the human hair extensions.
