Ok i ran across and article that curly hair can hold you back in your career....is this true? What say you curly ladies of mut...has having curly hair held you back in your career?

I have wavy hair that I sometimes wear curly and sometimes straight. I don't think having curly hair would have any effect on one's career?

I have wavy/curly hair, which can be quite unruly at times.

Years ago, a co-worker thought it was a bad perm and that it would look better if I got the old curls cut off.

Needless to say I did not cut my curls off - invested in some good gel instead.

Anyways, curly hair is fine - just have to keep it neat

I do not think having curly hair will hold back your career. I naturally have very wavy hair and when I first started my new job I was always straigtening it because I thought it would make me look more professional. One day I didn't have time to straighten it and wore it curly and I swear I never got more compliments before in my life. I think that as long as your hair is neat and clean you will be fine.
