I need to buy a new curling iron but I don't know much about them. I saw that CHI makes a curling iron, does anyone have this? I adore my CHI flat iron, I've had it for a little over 7 years and it's just now starting to lose it's heating power... but barely.

I don't want to fry my hair anymore and my current Revlon curling iron is a joke.

Any input would help!! Thanks :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I heard that Revlon is the best brand of curling iron… Could it be that yours curling iron is spoilage? I never use it, so that is only my guessing.

I second that I have like 3 or 4 Revlon curling irons and I love them all.  However, have you though about cone curling?  I personally don't understand the hype about these.  Whats so great about having to put on a mitt to curl your hair and having to stand there holding it o_O

You know - I see these everywhere and I couldn't figure out how the heck I would them!! I didn't know they came with a glove?!

HAHAHAHA!

I also have Revlon curling irons in various shapes and they have lasted thru thick and thin. Literally - hahahahaha!

Lmao Dream, you see that's not a glove, they come with -300 degree ice so you pretty much kill your hand and then you use that to hold onto the curling cone.  Thats not a glove, it's a frostbitten hand

LOL!!!

Who the hell invinted this and why the hell is it so popular??!!

I can just imaging the packaging for the -300 degree ice - You'd need a hazmat suit to carry your curling iron out of the store!

I don't know!! I don't get it??  Why would you want to use both hands to curl your hair rather than using the clamp on a regular one o_O  not to mention I'd probably lose the glove immediately

yeah ^^^ that is me too LOL

I wonder if the Revlon one I bought is just a crappy one? This thing barely heats up and doesn't curl well. Are ceramic ones better to get too??

I love the ceramic ones, I think half or all mine are.  Did you get one with heat settings?

I wouldn't even know what to do with 30!! HAHA!!! I do think it's time to check out a new curling iron and thanks for the tips everyone!

I don't use any except the very hottest setting.  I like them because they get very very very hot

I'm honestly not sure of the name since they are all packed away lol  The ones with the thousands of setting all heat up the same though.  The settings are on a dial.

I recommend the Karmin Salon Pro Clipless Ceramic Tourmaline Curling Iron, it works pretty good, it has an exclusive Ultra Polished barrel for the smoothest, long lasting curls, adjustable, digital temperature control to 350F for all hair textures, unique ceramic heating technology for faster heat-up time and more consistent temperature, heat resistant grip, protective kickstand and auto shut-off provides superior protection and comfort in styling. It’s available in 2 sizes 25mm (1 inch) or 19mm (3/4 inch).  I hope this helps.

Oh wow that is lots of details :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Thanks so much for your help!

Ladies,

Let me tell you, it is the WAVE (pun completely intended) of the future for straight haired girls like myself. My hair is extremely straight.  You know what they say, the grass is always greener on the other side. I have longed for beautiful curly waves in my locks, but no matter what hair spray I tried, perm that I used, curling iron I purchased, I could not get my hair to curl.  By the time I curled the second half of my hair, the first half (that was done) had already gone straight.

It was so devastating...until I tried one of these curling irons. BTW, you dont need the glove.  I never use mine.  You just get used to using it. Also, if you get a good one, they curl well, but dont burn badly.  I know, it sounds oxymoronic....but try it.

These babies can cost as much as $300.  I tried mine out at a mall keyosk, then purchase for cheaper on Amazon.  I use the Royale brand.  I love it, my friends love it, curls for all the girls!!
