Ceramic vs titanium flat irons?

Which is better?

I'm just shopping for a new hair straightener, what do you recommend? I wanted the ones they use in the salon, it makes my hair feel so soft... The one at home I have doesn't really. :

I have medium thick hair (I don't know how to explain it, thicker than asian hair? XD)

Maybe no more than 200 dollars. (I'm saving up! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />)

Also, are the TI Creative Styling ones any good?

I have a ceramic one that I bought at a hair salon /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> It's old now, maybe 7 years or so, but it still works perfectly (despite me dropping it several times on the floor)! So I think ceramic is great! Though they say titanium flat irons make your hair shiner than ceramic ones, and the result is said to last longer. (Maybe it's time I buy a new one too, haha) Anyhow, you could ask your hair dresser what kind they use.
