Blonde highlights on top of dye?

Hi, I've only just joined the forum, but i have been reading for about a year so Hi everyone!

Anyway, I have naturally mid to dark brown hair and i got medium darkish blonde highlights last year. I get bored quickly so i dyed my hair dark brown with a permament dye. I would like to get highlights again in a salon, but i wanted to know, If i get highlights straight onto my hair without stripping the colour, will it turn orange? Do i need to stip it?

I don't think so, but you don't really want advice from me. lol I would think the best person to speak to is a colorist at the salon you plan to go to, ask them if they can do highlights in hair that has permanent color in it, and I'm sure they would be more than happy to advise you.
