Ok so i've had my hair like this my whole life and i really want to change but i don't know what kind of haircut, it's difficult to pick the kind of haircut because my hair is really curly and some hairstylists refuse to cut my hair for some odd reason.

This is what my hair usually looks like

Ps.I was thinkin of getting layered or feathered but i'm scared it won't suit me.

I was thinking maybe lots of volume on the top like this.

If you are going shorter, definately get layers put into you hair.

My stylists likes layers to begin about half the length of the hair - my hair is 2 inches passed my shoulders so she starts the layers just below my ears.

As you have really curly hair, consider going to a good salon that caters to those of African American descent.

- post a picture after you get a new look so we can see the "after"

Short hair style is very trendy now a days. You can go for layered or bobs.

I would make certain the hair dresser has a lot of experience with styling very curly hair. Going from long to short is extreme so you want it to be a good experience and not a botched job because the hairdresser is inexperienced and doesn't realize the ever changing nature of very curly hair. It's probably why some of the hairdressers refused to cut it themselves.
